Will be interesting to see if Liam Buchanan is lured into playing local cricket now that he has retired from premier league

Seems unlikely that Grant Dew would leave East Belmont, although St Albans will doubtless be looking for a big signing as coach, have also heard that Waurn Ponds are on the look out for a new coach/captain

Phil Lang from Melbourne cc, Parkville cc & A few games with South Barwon last year, has signed on as Captain/Coach at
St Albans. So the word was getting around at the footy Saturday.
    Anyone know anything about him?

You heard right. We thought we had landed one but the situation has gone south. Any serious contenders will be considered. Type away

Peter Caulfield has signed on to coach at AT, he will be very good for that club. Dew has offers every year so no surprises there. Wont leave.

Cowdery remains as Captain whilst Caulfield will effectively be the coach, AT really struggled last season so interesting to see if this change will turn things around

Good news for them, at the expence on Bell Park I would imagine? Interesting to see how they go and if they can attract some recruits.

Do we know of any coaches/captains that are staying on at there current clubs for 2012/13?

Still hearing that Manifold heights was going to merge with either Bell park or St Peters, this could save bell park from going down if this was the case.
Does anyone know any more on this?

Definitely not St Peters. St Peters have just won two flags and a junior flag, have 5 senior sides and 7 junior sides and over 120 members with two new grounds and new wicket. Why would they want to merge?

If you are talking about the continued development of kids coming up from the juniors to play consistent senior cricket and shoring up the clubs future prospects, then yes it will be a good year. Probably as much chance as Modda when it comes to playing finals this year
