Yeah he seems to have discovered a unique way to play that’s covered some of his weaknesses pretty well. Also he smashed the ball the he was given LBW on and then went to review it before remembering its county cricket.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I manage to get noticeable drift on both my leggies and offies but I genuinely could not explain how. One thing I have noticed is a bit of top spin and dip definitely helps with drift. I’ve been having a lot of luck drifting my off spinners away from a right hander. I’ll bring a few back in...

Cam Green with a handy 100 on county debut, retired injured straight after he got to 100 with cramping. He’s said he’ll continue batting tomorrow. Was doing the same thing he did in NZ by frequently walking down the wicket to certain fast bowlers. Seems to work really well for him.

    Off Spinning Guide

Also I’m not sure how I’ve never come across this before, it’s an excellent video on how to spin the ball more as a finger spinner. It’s from a university study and everything in here FEELS like it will create more revs when you try it.

    Off Spinning Guide

I’ve had a very interesting season this year. I bowled pace for 90% of it and I think it’s done my off spin a world of good. Bowling fast made me optimise my action to bowl faster. I used to have big issues bowling my off spin fast enough but I’ve now realised that I can easily bowl up close to...

    Home of Australian Grassroots Cricket

One dayer on Saturday: Opened the batting, 0(2) LBW because I’ve been trying to bat like someone I’m not. Bowled 3 balls, last batsman got run out. Colts T20 today, didn’t bat in the first innings, didn’t bowl in the second innings. Chirped in the field and ran hard to get the drinks onto the...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Round arm makes sense because it forces you to put more side spin on the ball than than top spin.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Only bowled 4 balls, ranked half tracker first ball, wide the next, good ball and then a run out which always seems to happen off my bowling. Other news, I opened the batting, left one that went for 2 wides, got hit on the pad by a left armer going over the wicket (pitching outside leg), and...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Probably can get 6 to drift. Can’t tell you why, I rip the ball and it drifts. I’ve seen the discussions on here about it and I don’t really have anything to add to it. I do get the seam basically perfect on my leg break which likely helps. Just have to spin it hard I guess.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Yeah Kingy is an amazing bowler, gets great revs on the ball and bowls some absolute seeds from time to time.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Managed to get dropped down a grade because I’ve been batting 9, bowling pace but struggling with it a bit (weirdly have bowled well on turf in my Sunday Colts matches). Will be opening the batting and likely bowling a few overs of leg spin instead of pace because my right knee is at the...

It was a chanceless innings too no? I don’t include the overturned lbw as a chance because it wasn’t out.
