The Lounge 2

Hi Craig, I'm here , live and in person, so to speak. Been terribly busy with real life. My daughter returned from her big tour after two months and needs help to catch up. Remember it's spring time at my end and lots of things to do. DIY projects around the house, needing help to get them finished, gardening, looking after relatives, fighting with the condo management for which I might have to take a lawyer plus other things needing attention. It's the busiest time of the year.

My daughter had severe preecampsia (sp?) with ongoing high BPs which has knocked her along with her C section ... her baby girls a bit likewise.
Life and death surround's me nowadays.
Here's my new little grandaughters Adeline and Esme'.

Brilliant picture, Terry. ☺️ Exactly the same at my end. Not always successful but a power nap of 30 minutes does help me recharge the batteries. Sometimes I just have a lie-down and relax and feel refreshed afterwards. I've had craftsmen in my yard and garden for a week and will have for some days to come but I still lie down like clockwork even if they come in to use the toilet or ask me something.
Hi Thomas,
I've tried again to have an afternoon nap again, and good sleep at night. The naps refresh me too, reclining in my armchair, darkened room, soft music, purring cat too.
An old local mate at 76 loves his reinvigorating naps too.
I'm sure my body is smarter than me.

That's a neat little device Craig but doubt I'd ever need it?
Being dragged and goaded into the future with needing an unwanted expensive plan and a 5G Smart phone, does all that, I think.
It is its own modem and can even be a hot spot for other devices, like a laptop.
I've worked out how to transfer data, like Contacts, from one device to another by blue tooth/wifi but don't like the idea of synching devices.

Seriously, even given my background, I'm fed up with IT currently. I have 7 or 8 wifi/internet devices currently, 3 in phases of retirement tho. A hammer and bucket of water is their bleak future. But, it gets overwhelming at times in this New World.

Congrats to you and yours. Such lovely pics, Terry. They are looking so satisfied and protected as they are being at the best of places. Won't take long until they say Hello to the world and start exploring and communicating with it as my brother and I did "a few centuries ago".
Very soon your daughter will have a handful like my mother had.

Something for those digital nomads perhaps. Hardly any info about the USP nor about financial benefits. If it's not free of running costs, it will just be one more device to carry about, apart from smartphone, storage devices, and powerbanks.

What a shame those beautiful babies turned into you and your twin Thomas. 😉😋

Lovely old pictures Thomas. What a different world it was then.

This is me as a little boy in Ireland about 1959.
A poor quality pic before colour photos, ... which I've edited
with a sepia tint too.

I've always loved dogs like my childhood dog Jack here.

Same here mate. Dont have a pic of my childhood dog, Tammy, an Aussie sheepdog. Back then the film Tammy was popular so was the theme song and when it'd play on the radio, my Tammy would howl. I loved her so much but our friendship was broken when I was sent away to boarding school.😥

Looks like a decent sized backyard, expect you played games like cricket and footy. I never had a similar type yard until I was about 16.
That wasn't my folks' backyard in that pic Craig but their's was close by. My parents' best home ever abutted a golf links at its back garden sloping down to the Irish sea shore. I'd sled down it with my brother after snow falls.
