Re: Seymour & District Cricket Association
Thornton B Grade made 8/247 cc against Nagambie on Saturday with David Evans making a very good 122.
C Grade came up against powerhouse Pyalong and went pretty well. Pyalong knocked up 250 odd and in reply Thronton finished on 8/173 so not too...
Re: Seymour & District Cricket Association
Big Ned and Rampant are spot on about the B Grade. As I said in an earlier post last year barring Nagambie on top there was a log jam of sides on the next 6 or so spots
Nagambie 75
Broadford 52
Tallarook 52
Kilmore 52
Avenel 51...
Re: Seymour & District Cricket Association
I think the B Grade is very open with 5 teams all thereabouts at the moment. Remember last year that sides 2nd to 7th on the ladder all finished within 1 game of each other and the finals were full of surprises with Nagambie almost out the first...
Re: Hi all anyone in Seymour & district cricket Association
I'm not really for the 20/20 concept I like the game but for us they have just been to tough - we only have the 2 sides and no juniors and alot of our players are travelling from Melbourne just to play B or C Grade and don't want...
Re: Hi all anyone in Seymour & district cricket Association
Seymour made around 240 I think against Alex in the A Grade and Alex B Grade won outright over Seymour
Re: Hi all anyone in Seymour & district cricket Association
I think that Kilmore might get the runs against Avenel, don't really know much about the sides but we played at Kilmore a couple of weeks ago and the ground was quick and with the warm weather I would guess it would be very quick...
Re: Hi all anyone in Seymour & district cricket Association
B Grade
Thornton played Eastern Hill and are in a good position after losing the toss and fielding first
Eastern Hill 10/79 v Thornton 3/126
Alex B Grade made around 120 against Seymour who are 5 /50 odd at the end of the...
Re: Hi all anyone in Seymour & district cricket Association
Spot on Taz was a pretty good effort by our younger guys after it looked like we might be chasing a big score after your openers smashed us around a fair bit but every one chipped in and done well to keep you guys to a low...
Re: Hi all anyone in Seymour & district cricket Association
Thornton played Seymour in the b grade at Thornton Seymour 10 /107 off 44.4 overs ( A Phelps 3/7 off 9 M Currie 3/14 off 8 ) Thornton 3/112 off 25 overs ( D Evans 58 no T Phelps 35 no)...
Re: Hi all anyone in Seymour & district cricket Association
Would be doubtful - Thornton - Eildon did have a combined side for one season and struggled to field a regular side each week.
The way it is at the moment Alex have 4 or 5 guys playing for them that are from that combined side...
