I have a list of issue I keep:
1. Front arm higher and stronger
2. Bowling arm in front of eyes in load up
3. Power through back leg
4. Higher knees in jump and gather (not a higher jump in general)
5. Try to get more side on (this one isn’t a major concern as plenty of bowlers bowl...
Yeah I’d been working on my front arm and load up but they really reverted back for that game annoyingly.
I’ve had a consistent problem with my front arm being lazy but I’ve been getting better. I’ve also been trying to get my load up in front of my eye line more, because my elbow starts behind...
That was just the first image I found on google that showed what I meant.
I probably take most of my technical stuff from Cummins and Starc (even though he’s left handed). They both have really nice, rhythmical bowling actions.
That’s the problem I’m a super-nuffy and also nerdy uni student that likes researching. All the other blokes in my colts team seem more inclined to go down the apprenticeship route.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that, they just probably aren’t as inclined to analyse their bowling with...
Had training last night, I’m trying to work on rotating through properly in my action so my torso finishes closer to parallel with the ground.
At the moment I’m not sure if I’m just a bit stiff but I’m struggling to understand HOW I’m supposed to rotate through from release point and get into...
I thought Connolly has looked very good in the limited opportunities he’s had at first class level.
He’s averaging 54 in first class cricket.
Davies is averaging 51.68 although he’s a bit more of a Head kind of player with a looser technique.
Imo the playing XI should be:
Konstas
Bancroft
McSweeney
Davies
Connolly
Webster
Peirson
Neser
Murphy
Buckingham
Last pick is tough between O’Neill, Steketee and McAndrew
I honestly just think we’re made of glass over here. Not sure why, maybe inbreeding. We are pretty isolated.
Thankfully I’m yet to have a serious injury, touch wood.
Respect for calling them the Warriors.
His issue is that WA have Jhye Richardson, Joel Paris, Lance Morris and Cam Gannon in the way.
I rate him more than Gannon, but apparently he’s at the bottom of the pecking order for some reason.
Seems to pick up wickets at a pretty similar rate...
List of CURRENT WA bowlers with frequent injuries:
Cameron Green
Jason Behrendorff
Jhye Richardson
Joel Paris
Mitch Marsh
Lance Morris
Matthew Kelly
Just to name a few.
Seems to have a little bit of a hot head too which isn’t a bad thing. Although he’s gotten himself into a bit of trouble following through intentionally into batsmen running between wickets in grade matches.
Can be a little bit of a dickhead but he has a very good Aus A record so wouldn’t mind...
It seems to be an issue with a lot of South Australian bowlers, other than Jordan Buckingham who I do really rate. Nathan McAndrew also, but I don’t rate him much for some inexplicable reason.
With Johnson, because he’s not a medium pacer that’d completely lack that killer blow. I honestly...
Honestly I don’t see him changing that view. This is his first back injury since before he made his international debut.
The fact he’s going straight to this surgery is a sign that he does want to keep bowling.
