Any of you Aussies noticed that none of our lot (I'm a Pom) have got the SKY earphones on. Normally some of them listen to the commentary. Looks like the back room staff have said not to - possibly to block out the different views and opinions on Basball? Much of it on Sky is sceptical.

That's pretty crap as well. Good that the other club are more accommodating.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Oh yes. All the time. I've just had to 40 over games on the bounce. Saturday with my usual team -5th XI who have yet to win a game and are 2nd from bottom of the league and that's only because the team below failed to get teams out for 2 Saturdays, so are deducted points! Got two wickets in that...

Absolutely mate if I could rely on people catching the ball!

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

All sounds good. They use me in a similar role, so it's either well set openers or middle order batters coming out to put some runs on. We've lost 5 on the trot now, down to the fact that we have no batting I've not looked yet, but there's a chance I was in the top 4 scorers with that bat coming...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

What's XI do you play in and do you check on playcricket to see if batters like that one have been dropped down a couple of XI's? I'm sure when I have a look at the bloke that scored 120+ in our 5th XI game I'm going to find he's a 2nd or 3rd XI player normally rather than the 4th XI he was...

The other thing I've noticed about Australia, so many of your sports grounds which look pretty basic as though they are 'Council/municipal' grounds, but loads of them are kitted out with massive flood lights. That is so rare here in the UK.

Just been looking at Google maps at where you're living. It's mental how big the USA is compared to the UK and how much wilderness there is.

What do you deduce from the answer? Ask them to give a detailed definitive explanation of the Slider - wrist position - direction of spin - release point - how much spin? The details.

Do you ever get any of the White Americans pay any interest in your games? Have you ever had anyone show any interest in playing from the established communities - there's a lot of players in New York it seems with West Indian origins and I think there's also a fair few around Miami as well?

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I guess as that's in the USA, you're probably lucky to have enough blokes around to play? I'm guessing most of your players are from the Indian sub continent region? Good job you're all doing taking cricket to the USA, it looks like what I'm seeing on Youtube it's getting more and more popular...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Yeah definitely - bowl the ball slow and it'll turn at right angles almost!

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

It's depressing isn't it? I remember bowling 14 overs quite regularly. I timed games I've seen bowlers bowl from one end the entire game... 25 + overs. Its the T20/IPL affect.🙁

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

My flippers which are pure back-spin hardly ever turn. I have a flipper variation which back-spin which spins backwards towards mid-on/cover and again, although that has back-spin it rarely deviates. I side-spinner with some back spin on the roughest of wickets might turn rarely? I think it's a...
