Your action is quite all right, although you seem to take a massive step sideways away from your target right before your delivery stride. It isn't necessarily wrong and you don't have to change it, but if you do it'd probably increase your accuracy and make your delivery angle more attacking...
Thank you so much for the advice and videos, and about the ripping it square part , I was probably a bit overwhelmed by a guy I saw at practice, who's in the Dutch U19 national team, ripping them square and getting consistent drift drop and bounce which made every delivery unplayable for even...

Might only work in the UK, otherwise download Hula unblocker (for google chrome), but here's Shane Warne's masterclass that was aired during the Ashes series in England. There are some great tips on how to bowl on...
Thanks for the advice and the video, I found it very helpful. The thing is though, to bowl a ripping off break I still need to be able to bowl a topspinner and work from there, because of the angle you create by bowling round the wicket and the fact that right now I'm bowling what are essentialy...
You're right about the SLC and SLA thing. The reasons why I stopped bowling wrist-spin are first of all the short season in the Netherlands. Because of the divisional structure, and the short summer when I also have my main vacation I'm lucky if I play more than 10 matches. The second reason is...
Since I temporarily left the forum I've switched from bowling SLC to SLA. If you look at my figures, it went rather well, picking up 12 wickets at 21.00 in matches that we mostly lost quite badly, however if you purely look at the way I bowled, it went terrible. Although I was quite consistent...
As long as you have the ability to land your leg- and topspinner where you want you can be very dangerous as a leggie so you don't necessarily need a wrong 'un even though it will generate a couple of extra wickets.
What worked for me last season was bowling an off-spinner in stead of a wrong...
For all the chinaman bowlers out there, a vid of 21 year old Michael Rippon (SA) bowling for Sussex. Hopefully a good prospect. Not the greatest action, but possibly still helpful.
Our coach recently posted a vid of our team bowling and batting. What do you guys think of my action? I'm the chinaman bowler from 1:44 till 2:05 and 2:17. Thanks for your advice! Please mute the vid, because the music is a bit annoying.
Thanks for your advice everyone! I asked my coach the same question and he said that I should look at the weather conditions at the start of the match, since I'm able to bowl both. Since I enjoy spinning the most right now I'll probably continue with spin bowling.
Hello everyone,
Is there a certain length that could be considered to tall for a spin bowler?
I'm a Dutch 15 year old chinaman and SLA bowler. Right now I'm not that tall yet (1.77m or 5' 10''), but if the chart that represents my length is right then I'd end up somewhere in between 1.88(a bit...
This will probably have been posted, but I just found it recently. It's Arul Suppiah's 6 for 5 playing for Somerset against Glamorgan. Hope you enjoy it.
