Gee, I remember 2 years ago at the comp presentation night the skipper of Melton sth telling us all that in 2 years time they will come up to A1 & win the flag.............all out for 91 & 93 in the first 2 rounds.........dear me:oops:
I play in the Willy comp also & 3 A-Turf games were played yesterday.......one at Newport, one in Willy & one in Altona nth........conditions werent the best, but hey it was great to be out there playing.
Im sure alot of VTCA games wouldve been played yesterday too if they didnt cancel the round
Just another good arguement why the bonus point system is no good......like TOBB said, if you put the work in to get track ready you should be able to play, you wouldn't lose much ground if it was just 6 pts per win
So the clubs dont want to play cricket hey??????
Staggering stuff that is:rolleyes:
I would bet anything, that if the PLAYERS were asked by their clubs, instead of the club commitees making the decision, it would be a different answer !!!
Please can you tell me, What type of cricketer...
Can anyone out there please tell me why it is too hard for the comp to put 1 or 2 reserve days in when they bring the fixture out?????
The same sh1t will pop up again when they want to reschedule games after xmas......clubs will have functions on the night before the day or on the day & kick up...
What fairgo says is mostly on the mark, but i doubt whether all those things happened to ANA.........also, I think it would be the participating clubs responsibility to stop players drinking during games (if that happens?)..........& WHO & HOW do clubs cheat???
your great at taking pot shots at every other comp & you dont play in them either.................i was actually taking a potshot at a player not the VTCA.............:p
Thats good for you blokes, probably the only bad thing about VTCA is that it would be better for clubs to get promoted after enjoying a grand final win IMO, but good luck in Nth A, might see you next year ;)
