Yes, we were having this discussion a couple of weeks ago on a Wednesday night. Makes no sense to have 2 different temperatures. 36 is still too hot for kids. That’s a discussion for another day!

Play will be suspended once the temperature reaches 38 degrees according to the official rule book handed out to clubs at the start of the season. This is determined by the BOM at Viewbank for our area.

The fact Justin Whitcher is still running around is amazing. The fact he is still probably key to his side winning is incredible.

That is a fair comment. But still at home and only at the time a 1 win difference. I think we are set for a very exciting couple of finals here. My tips are for Plenty and United to win. United to win the grand final. Thompson is in terrific form this year.

Who are the key players for the teams still going. Can’t think of anyone more important than Tim Wise for Macleod. Has single handedly gotten his team into 2nd place finish on the ladder with one of the great seasons in recent memory.

Bundoora Park again costing themselves.. a home loss to Lower to miss finals.

What a terrific effort this season from South Morang and Hurstbridge to go from the 2 bottom sides into Finals next season. I’m not sure where to for Mill Park from here. 2nd bottom only to an essentially irrelevant team in context of things. Spent big money. New coach / captain required?

Hopefully the young fella loves his cricket and can get into a pathway program to play some high level cricket in the next few years. Riverside probably the right club to be at for that to happen.

Would have thought you would just put time aside on the Sunday if it was all about that. Ultimately you could end up playing a Saturday / Sunday in the second week anyway.

That is interesting. Not oppossed to it. Still find it strange that the grand final is played over 2 weekends. Would love to see it as on the one weekend with the second weekend being reserve days.

What are the grand final venues this year? Have the board announced them?

Good to see a club like South Morang up and about. Good for the competition to have as many competitive clubs going as possible.

I am always one to root for the underdog. Go Bundoora. Would be very interesting to see considering they were in relegation conversations only 2 matches ago.

Will be interesting to see how it all finishes up and who plays Macleod. They are the team you don’t want to play if you’re Epping or Heidelberg in the first round. Just my two cents.

An absolutely shambolic season from Mill Park. Currently sitting 7th and finals chances dashed. Paying all that money for one player and then to not even make finals in Mash Shield. turning all attention to South Morang who are playing very nicely at this point and should hold on if they can...

I feel that finding a good batsman these days is harder and harder to come by. Average bowlers are made to look much better because of the lack of quality batsman around in the competition

Similar to banyule.. lots of senior teams but all getting beaten in the lower grades as well. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Diamond Creek recruit players so will be interesting to see what they do
