The reason that I'm a no 11 batsman is not because I don't have the ability to make runs and make them regularly. I play for an adult club and I'm a 14 year old, the rest of the players are 17-40. The opposition has bowlers that bowl up to 135kph. And I'm one of the most valuable spin bowlers in...
My flipper is also just a net-delivery that I bowl to impress team selectors:D (the backspinning version) I have only gotten one wicket with it in the month that I've been bowling it! I bowled it from over the wickets and it swung away from outside leg, skidding into the batsman's pads and...
Challenge accepted!;) That's too easy:D
Just to clarify: Should I bowl 3 consecutive balls that drift and turn like a normal leg break, then 3 consecutive balls that don't drift at all but still turn? (Each with the same amount of revolutions?) And am I allowed to use any method of my choice...
The reason why my run-up was almost medium pace like is because I was bowling a bit too slow, and I wanted to increase my pace so a faster run-up was necessary. Now I don't need it any more, I have a slower Warne-like run-up and just a bit more effort at the point of delivery increases the pace...
In a few days I'll post videos of all my variations, I'll include one of them:) It doesn't always come out right, sometimes it has a little bit of off spin on it. The interesting thing about this ball is that it swings away from the right hander even if it has that little bit of off spin. And...
Yes I totally agree with that! The faster the ball arrives, the faster it travels to the boundary. I wouldn't mind getting hit for a four or a six at all, but singles drain the life out of me. Shane Warne was hit for the most sixes of any bowler in cricket and he didn't mind either:D
Shane Warne always pitched the ball 8 feet from the popping crease. Your length should be slightly fuller because your younger and get less spin and speed.
Are any of you regularly using the karate chop slider and having some success with it? I abandoned it a while ago in favor of the 45 degree backspinning leg break. It still seems like a good delivery to have though. What are your thoughts on it?
A few photos of me bowling one. [left arm...
