Why should the clubs who can get wickets prepared be penalised because of the clubs who cannot?
Even if we only get 10 games of cricket going this weekend across the competition , that is 220 people playing sport.
We are already starting on the 2nd weekend of October and now we want to give that...
with the good weather forecast late in the week, we should wait as long as possible before we call it off. Even allow teams to play who can get a wicket up and let the other clubs play one day games in week 2 as needed
I believe this award should go to an 'amateur' player - preferably an Aussie in all honesty.

I wouldn't get too carried away with the strength in the north - the east group was superior with Mount Waverley & Bayswater playing off in the grand final and Croydon & Plenty Valley being the losing semi finalists.

Great effort by Yaraville to get 4 teams into the semi finals. Matthew Love and David Wolfe (and others I am sure) have done an amazing job to lift that club up the various ladders
It will be interesting to see if Bayswater can get a wicket up? That ground hosted the EFL grand final 11 days ago, which the mighty Balwyn Tigers won.
If Bayswater can get a wicket ready, there aren't too many excuses for the rest of the comp, given the favourable weather conditions
I am on twitter......that is not the point ......it is about being professional and communicating the results of finals (and normal games) to supporters ASAP.
I could not disagree more strongly. It is a great opportunity for over 300 kids to play turf cricket. The format with 6 games over 45 overs is fantastic.
Even if the dividend was stopped, dropping the Craig competition would be a huge mistake.
I will stop at a top 6 rather than the full 14
