Clothing would have needed to be ordered 3-4 months ago so that cannot happen. Also the correct procedure is YOUR club place a rule change proposal, get another club to second it and then submit and all the clubs can vote it in. If you have time to place a suggestion on a forum maybe speak to...
Womens team I agree, but in saying that DVCA does have a girls comp which is a better pathway to a womens comp once the girls progress through the junior age groups. But given the current success of the Aust Womens Team DVCA need to catch on quicker. Not sure I agree with the multicultural...
It needs to be better. Social media is one article/subject at a time so need to search to find what you need. Websites still serve a purpose and if a club wanted to attract a player and they went to the website ... they would see a very ordinary offer and puts all clubs in a poor light. Just run...
DVCA Website is a disgrace - nothing updated for a year except coaching advertisements. No teams of the year, no medal counts or winners, no GF pictures. That site would have cost $5k to set up + maintenance. Just take it down and communicate via carrier pigeon.
I believe Cricket Vic are proposing a first week of December start. If Govt give tick then fixtures will be built around that date. Apparently cricketers need 4 weeks training before recommencing. So training can commence 1st week November. I like the idea of 50 overs per side to get things going.
I might be a little off the mark here but there was a DVCA post on facebook this week stating Epping had signed Shaun Barker. How can that be a sanctioned DVCA notification when clearances do not open until tomorrow? Technically Shaun is still an OP's player. Did DVCA check that OP's are...
Yep get that running ( bowling & batting) but it is the coming together after a wicket etc. All that would not be allowed. It maybe that games that only have an official umpire to police that can proceed? Social distancing while waiting to bat, scoring etc
Could we play in masks? Would it be possible physically? It might be the only way to get some of the season up. Just think.. no club functions, no Xmas parties, no draw days and no after game or training socialising would be the only way if we get off the ground.
That wouldn't surprise me he couldn't manage a one man rowing team. But for the future of their club Rivergum would need to look past that and do whats best for them. I think playing in the NMCA would not present the challenges they would be looking for.
My understanding is that the Duke ball is significantly more expensive than Kookaburra. Something like $20 per ball. In the current climate I dont think clubs would appreciate extra costs for a ball.
The deal is renegotiated every 3 years I believe. Details would be ball prices ( can't see cheaper given current climate) how much sponsorship to DVCA and rebate per ball back to DVCA.
Based on the Grand Final fiasco's earlier this year I dont hold much confidence is the DVCA actually having any plan for this. They will only be planning a start date and when grounds will be available. Then they will be planning on how to give themselves a pay increase and where the Barclay GF...
