I think you are both right, batting is a combination of doing both getting your 'eye in' and also taking initiative to score runs and take the odd risk. A good innings requires a fine balance between them both unfortunately its to much of an ask for most batsmen.
having played club cricket for a long time i have seen so many dumb decisions made by batsmen just makes u wonder if they are using that thing between their ears sometimes....
All i have to say is .... WOW. What a series this is gonna be. Surely you would back NZ after the form they are in and the confidence after their good performance at the wc i know its a different format but still i would be dissapointed if NZ didnt come away with the chocolates.
My 2 cents: If i need a bit of extra cash i will go hand my resume in to coles or woolworths. If i was a mediocre player i wouldnt wanna get paid. Having played cricket for a long time things you are sacrificing priceless things like team work and friendships you develope over time by changing...
OK back then australia were by far the best team in the world with the like of mcgrath, ponting, warne etc. I am talking at this current moment - 2015. At the moment there is no 'best' team in the world at the moment as most teams are even and often the conditions and home ground advantage play...
As much as i hate it the home ground advantage determines who wins. If the final was in NZ, NZ woulda won. If it was in India, India would have won, same for South Africa....oh wait they woulda choked lol. No but seriously i dont understand it, but home ground advantage is massive. But well done...
guys i got a question i m gonna play turf next year as i m playing on synthetic atm. should i buy spike shoes or will by rubber shoes suffice. Take into consideration that i bat only. Any help would be appreciated. Like is it compulsory to buy spike shoes on turf?
Those are common sense changes i dont think dvca specifically copied nmca in that respect. Although i do think there are some things dvca do nmca do better, like the finals structure (preliminary finals) is better in nmca.
Not necessarily we have seen it time and time again signing a couple of star players doesnt necessarily guarantee success. It takes teamwork to win premierships. Overall, i think this is great for the comp....but i dont see myself or any players stepping back and laying it to them on the platter.
Kinda besides the point though isnt it? Mill park were just hosting, its the whittlesea and macleod suburbs that are representing the place for the day.
