Re: mmvca Not sure what you guys are on about. There is no grey areas, its black and white. If the forecast at 11am is to be 40 degrees or more during the day then we don't play. Simple as that. I'm not saying that I agree with this By-Law but its whats in place at the moment.

Re: mmvca The reason this rule was put into place a couple of years ago, was to make it very clear to all. Before this rule was in place, the Exec called off the game on a Friday night because Sat's forecast was meant to be 42 degrees. Problem was that the cool change came in the morning...

Re: mmvca essendon 2000 has pretty much summed it up. If the 11.00am news on ABC radio says the forecast temp for the day will be 40 degrees then the days play is cancelled and there is no need to turn up. It doesnt matter what the temp is in the morning or what we think it may get too...

Re: mmvca I'm not sure if they are trying to play games down at St Francis , but their named side for this weeks match does not include Matty Costello or Babo. If this is correct, then Glenroy would have to be odds on.

Re: mmvca Good luck to my guys and the rest of the sides playing twenty/20 matches tonight. We have picked a very young side with only one player over the age of 22. Hopefully that helps us in the heat.
