Broad has been struggling with consistency since he was injured back in Australia I feel. Not sure whats happening with Strauss though as he used to be reliable for a good few runs.

Makes sense to me, if you look at the major sports in America they are their own version of other sports:
American football - Own version of Rugby
Baseball - Own version of Rounders
Soccer even has slightly different rules to football across the world.
