In all honesty weapons, most of the kids your playing are just not up to it yet. It's good that your giving them experience, but I worry they'll lose confidence and interest in the game if they constantly keep getting smashed. Maybe a rotation system. Besides that I thought the positive was your...
I know the captains voted for it, but how could they possibly pick a team after each round? Seems impractical...wouldn't each captain just pick a team at end of the season and whoever gets most nominations is selected? Also, if finals are not counted in the voting, how come the overall aggregate...
The pitch was an absolute road! Ground was lush so I suppose it made getting runs tough but none of our bats had the patience and got themselves out. I suppose you could blame it on last innings pressure, young team and all that but there were no excuses for making 27...very disappointing to watch.
I found it quite surprising that 3 doutta players got selected in team of the year (most of any club) but didn't make finals, yet Hoppers (who won the division) only had one.
Fair enough on Wigmore and Siaka (both good players) though I thought Timms would've been a certainty after making 170 in...
When they were successful in the senior division, they were probably up there. They're a completely different side now, most of the players that played in premierships have moved on.
I'm sure hoppers were proud they finished 2nd in the spirit of cricket award last season, we on the other hand, finishing 5th, were disgusted for placing so high.
Yeah Strathmore aren't really a great set of blokes, but neither are hoppers. :P But tell you what this Gardner bloke goes alright after getting dropped. We dropped him last week and ended making a handy 44 not out. Now your telling me this week he makes a 100 after being dropped. :P I noticed...
Strathmore's bowling lineup has been shown up to be pretty ordinary. Fair assessment? I said before they had no firepower, I'd say that's been proven on the weekend. I was wrong about hoppers relying on so little players, they have Timms with the bat who is in pretty good form, Magafas goes...
1. Thomson

Pretty good team I reckon. Have included finals into the equation.
Fair to say we choked, but if you look deeper we had 6 players 19 or under and 4 players in their early 20's. I don't care what anyone says but to me that's a very young side, especially for a 1's team.
By the way we weren't the only ones to choke a bit. Hoppers, who lived up to their name of...
It's genuinely a very even comp, so it's hard to say who will make finals. No team is really dominating even though Hoppers are sitting comfortably on top. Centrals and Moonee Valley are well below the standard. Sunshine Druids might make finals, will need to rely on their former Essendon...
Fair assessment. In saying that I can see why they wanted to try their luck. I suppose it doesn't hurt seeing how they go but they're not going to achieve much this season.
