Re: Senior Seconds 09/10
Can't believe we played today, but anyway we did. Kudos to YP's pitch, apparently that was one of the better pitches they've produced, having never played there before.
Looks like we should get the chocolates. A good comeback from us, YP were 0/56 and then suddenly...
re: North A and B 10/11
Yeah went down to the club to have a hit in the nets, had a look at the ground and saw that the wicket hadn't been fully down cut yet. Left at 6 and still no one, maybe they worked on it later on.
re: North Division 10/11
Yeah I don't think it's as simple as that.
The underground watering system sounds good. The ground should be good to play on now. So only couch is in the table now? I've read that some curators put in a mixture of rye and couch to keep the table binded together...
Re: Senior Seconds 09/10
Some interesting results on the weekend. Some notably high scores aswell. Bit of competition for top 4 placings, very close from 2 - 7. Still early days. Very important round next week. Please no more rain.

If you're here just to offend players I suggest you take your contempt somewhere else. We don't need people like you on this site.
Re: Senior Seconds 09/10
Yeah lots of runs at Crofts. Pitch was flat as always, apart from the slope with the pitch being on the side of the square. Outfield was lightning. We batted first and made 189, we thought that was a pretty good total. Keilor started slowly but managed to get back in...
Re: VTCA Cricket - General Chat
Here we go...just as I expected. It's clear that you're here to be an arse because no one that ignorant would say something like that. We won the game which is the only thing that matters.
Re: VTCA Cricket - General Chat
We have plenty of bowlers. Maybe that wasn't the best game to judge the line-up on. The results show that the pitch clearly favoured the batsman. There was almost 400 runs scored and only 9 wickets taken (4 by RPB). As for me, it was a good spell but their...
Re: Leg-side problems
I suppose the initial stance helps but using the back leg as a rudder and pivoting on your front leg helps me hit the ball on the legs.
Re: VTCA Cricket - General Chat
Hard to say. I think most clubs have recruited well due to the points system which I guess can only be good for the competition.
By the way, I think it's good that they've realigned the 2nds with the 1sts. Anyone got an opinion on this?
Re: North A & B
Most clubs would now be training on synthetic wickets due to the water restrictions. Our club used to have a couple of turf wickets but now we've replaced them with synthetic wickets. It's a shame that I myself can't train on turf wickets because it's hard to adapt from...
