I think highett could/should at least play amongst 2ndXI teams last year was a joke..

I actually thought they were gone already.. I reckon the senior 2nd XIs would be a good match ups for the lower south div 1st XIs, say highett, parkdale united and middle park..

There's only 13 First Elevens left in south, would make sense if the weakest 1st eleven side joined the seconds comp..

Carnegie could be playing against senior 2ndXI's in the divisional reshuffle so he would be perfect for the role !

The guys I know there said if they got two sides together they were looking at the DDCA if not just go with the one day side in the VTCA. Either way the south still at about 35ish teams to make up next years grades..

Yeh it's shame, brand new rooms decent ground. Footy club struggling aswell. Dingley eyeing it off as a 3rd and 4th XI venue.

I'm not sure if Ken is leaving subbies. His helping out at McKinnon to guide us through a tough period for cricket in the area to make sure the club comes out the other end in a strong position.

I'm sure of two of those clubs and using 2nd hand info on others.. But... I beleive hoppers crossing will go in and the sections will shuffle around.

What happened to Beaumaris? His been going there for 3 years!

The VTCAs top division is made up of 12 teams, put subbies top 12 up against the VTCA senior division clubs and I think ul find subbies have them covered.

I beleive Beaumaris and a few other south clubs started the process sometime ago incase of something like this happened but anyway who knows.. As we have said before in aligned 2nd XIs would be a great for the south divisions let's hope it happens!

If Kingston Saints and Hawthorn merge I beleive Beaumaris will join subbies.. There's another gap to fill further weakening south. I've heard the south senior div 2nd XI's will return to make up some decent lower grades..

Not an ideal finish to the SECA but the VTCA has had its fair share of fizzers over the years aswell.. I'm more looking at adding to the finals series and hopefully keeping more teams alive longer into the season, just a thought.

Highest ranked team should be rewarded with hosting rights. And scrap 4 day finals, bring in a top 6 in 12 team grades giving more teams a crack at finals keeping more interest in the later rounds of the season..

And disband senior div. bringing the 10 first and second XI teams back into the mix.. Could then have a "VTCA championship final" North/West premiers v South premiers instead
