PLAYING IN SHIT. Called in to Robert bruce Reserve the other day, currently used by Taylors lakes formerly Albions home ground, to do a bit of sprint work. Counted 69 Ibis wandering around the ground. Then I noticed an unusual amount of shit around the ground and I thought "can't be that many...
Interesting comment there DH. Around twenty five years ago, Maribyrnong Council and Sunshine council because of inconsistent performance by their own curators agreed to hand over the preparation of turf wickets to the clubs themselves. Located at each ground was a wicket roller and a reel mower...
I said I had heard Deer Park played at their ground on saturday.
I said Footscray Colts were a bunch of Dogs.
Your IQ is obviously some where around 2 points below a carrot. Any more blurts?
Southern, you only apologise when you have wronged someone. To date I haven't read a post from you that I can recall is deserving of an apology. Everyone's apologising for the littlest things these days. It's not your fault some people whom post on this forum are some what mentally challenged.
I've never bagged yccc, just had a bit of fun with Pies Pacholi. Yccc deserve all the accolades for their achievements, although their wins have come against clubs with one hand tied behind there back.
For the record lets not forget how yccc was formed. They alledgely were formed from the...
Heard that Deer Park c/c played today cnr ballarat rd. and station rd. Williamstown comp. Also East Keilor was ready. The sooner more clubs prepare their own tracks the better.
Duty of care my arse. On this ocassion there were 3 days of inclement weather and those councils that prepare wickets for clubs just didn't have the man power and I'm sure they didn't want to pay the sub-contractors more dollars for more work.
Wer'e not going over old ground again are we? STOPPING play at 4.30pm or 5pm is what will happen without bonus points. Teams will call it off as soon as a decision is reached, simply because they don't want to lose percentage. Been down that track, it's not on.
Lets not concede defeat. Sure councils need time to prepare sports ovals, but the way they manage it with their penny pinching methods is disgraceful which is directly effecting the activities of summer sports. Not to mention the organisational dilemma each association faces.
It's time for every...
Jim Peter was a Sunshine United committee man some years back in the old S.C.A. infact I think he was president for most of the time. Under his leadership S/U were a real power house and won a lot of premierships. I seem to remember they established a provident fund for there "A" Grade players...
judging by some of the incongruous comments on this subject and all it's complexities it would appear that Jan 13th would be preferable. Can the exec be bribed?
The reserve day last season was on sunday 11th Dec for 1st elevens only. I think it caused too much disruption to the sunday sides. Especially to those clubs that only have one turf table at their disposal.
I notice in this seasons fixture the north D1-1 day sunday comp begins after the xmas...
