I might be biased but I honestly rate Inglis higher than Webster as a pure bat. Although Webster being an allrounder is a huge plus. Konstas’s knock was great but his other dismissals show he isn’t quite ready for the Aussie team.

https://www.cricket.com.au/news/4165555 McSweeney has been selected in the test squad. Inglis has also been selected, presumably as a back up wicketkeeper and middle order bat given his fine form in the shield.

Everyone left for the rain delay/lunch break. Should slowly come back now.

McSweeneys is definitely a fair bit lower, the higher camera angle for the photo makes it look higher. I really like his technique, it looks very compact. Marnus definitely has struggled against proper fast bowling before. McSweeney does have that lower backlift and seems to get forward very...

    Yeah, very similar techniques though.

Just had centre wicket practice with a bunch of first grade lads and only got out once. Nailed a cover drive off one of the staple bowlers in the side, left arm pacer. I think I’m pretty good, I play the ball very late and have a decent eye. My main issues are sometimes not taking a big enough...

https://www.cricket.com.au/news/4163592 McSweeney is opening the batting for the 2nd A match. Along with Harris, who although I don’t want him in the side, is probably our 2nd best candidate. Bancroft is horribly out of form and Konstas looked like he didn’t have the right mindset with how he...

Hopefully he opens in the next A match. There seems to be a large crowd of people that seem to think batting at 3 is majorly different to opening. Even though he came in in the 3rd over of the first innings. Also Langer, Katich etc

This is part of the mental change I made between matches. I was slowing down to gain accuracy and actually started bowling more wides, so you’ll probably see in the colts match I’m running through a little better than the one dayer. It might not be very visible but I felt like I was a bit more...

I was watching back the streams for these games and I think I’ve had a major revelation. What do these 3 have in common: That is very different to me: Other than my legs being lazy. I’m loading up both arms at the same time. It sounds so basic but it makes so much sense. I didn’t even...

Sorry I didn’t post about my games before: Saturday- 0-35 off 5 overs, dropped sitter of a catch at gully off my 3rd ball. Bowled too many wides. Got lined up in my last over. Sunday (this morning)- 2-8 off 3 overs, still bowled a few wides that probably made up half my conceded runs. Bottom...

The Aus A and domestic threads tend to filter out the casual dickheads and it tends to be only nuffies so it’s a pretty good times.

Definitely seems like a bowler that can pull a wicket out of his arse even if he’s bowling poorly. Just gets that extra bit out of the pitch.

No I haven’t, I think most people (including myself) tend to use r/cricket on reddit for match discussion and what not. I’m just also on here.
