That’s a shame because I really rate him.

Buckingham gets an incredible amount of wickets from strangles down leg. I’m starting to think he does it on purpose.

Went to bed at 1 (uni assignments) and woke up at 6 because I only have shitty blinds on my bedroom window. I have an exam this afternoon. But yeah I’m up.

Pretty funny that they said Harris and Bancroft would open and then didn’t do that

If we play every home test match at Junction Oval we’ll be set.

Some new stuff: - Marcus Harris will open alongside Cameron Bancroft in the first Australia A match against India A. -According to multiple anonymous industry sources, Harris will also open in the second Australia A match, alongside young gun Sam Konstas. -The final B-G test squad will be...

    Definitely agree with those lineups

Yeah but if we play all 4 of them in 1 match then someone is going to have to go at 4 he makes the most sense. All 4 batsmen are equally in contention to open at the moment imo. If we do 2 in each test match then it doesn’t matter.

I did say that yes, and he has been getting them at 3 BUT he has also batted at 4 before and he’s more likely to bat lower than the 3 specialist openers in the team. Well yeah Harris is not great either way, I more meant he seems like he’d possibly be a little better at 3. Yes a seperate...

I’d imagine McSweeney will be at 4, given that he’s batted in that position before in his career. I also feel like Bancroft, Harris and Konstas are looked at more as genuine openers (because they are), so they’ll be put up the top. I’d say: Bancroft Konstas Harris McSweeney Phillipe Webster...

I’m fine with Stoinis in the T20 side, he’s actually done good stuff there but WOW how long is he going to be on the ODI side, he’s literally got 1 good knock on debut and a couple of OK 50s. I’m fine with Richo missing out, he’s played about 2 matches since returning from injury and not done...

Funnily enough the ground I’m playing at this week and last week is Melville CC’s home ground.

No, Melville CC is a premier cricket team. My team is Murdoch University-Melville CC, we play for a “secondary” comp. The naming is little confusing.

He bats at 3 for South Australia and given the quality of their openers he essentially opens the batting.

I think Nathan McSweeney should well and truly be in the contention for the opening spot. Seems to be in amazing form. I believe he’s averaging about 80-90 in domestic cricket this year and just made a 137(131) in a one day match against Queensland. The rest of the top 5 made a combined 18 runs...

There’s a livestream on YouTube for the England v Pakistan game that just started and Duckett just got out LBW to an off break that’s turned and basically rolled less than 2 hour into day 1.

I was very happy with how I batted as I haven’t done so in a match for a while. The cover drive was definitely a good confidence builder, even though I played it a T20 style with a bit less footwork than I would in a longer game. It came off the bat really nice. As a side note I do really love...

I genuinely think we should try Konstas. It’s a tough gig so he shouldn’t be held too high, but if he doesn’t succeed and gets figured out by some on the best bowlers in the world at 19, he now has a hell of a lot of time to fix those now apparent issues. And if it does work then hey we’ve just...

I am really not a fan of just taking any aggressive middle order batsman and making them open. Aggressive does not equal David Warner. There is a lot more in Warners game than a high strike rate that made him a successful opener. I feel like doing this almost insulting to Warner. I’m all for...

I dislocated my finger the day before this so I’m not hitting it too hard given that finger normally takes a bit of beating if I’m trying to smack the ball.
