I would say West Newport given no other person on earth would care to vandalise a wicket apart from an opposition who was certain to lose. Even if a premiership was granted to the team finishing higher on the ladder, pretty hollow feeling down at gu tonight...
Renowned for local showers and they know it..also GU as good a side as they were played at least 2 more games every year by covering there wickets back when covers were un heard of..no rules in place so good luck to them.
It has been a horrible comp in the last 10yrs that has been stood over by GU for years and in more recent times manipulated by WN...hang on to your flags and fond memories as this comp once great will surely dissolve...Imps may well get there flag still if they are they are only ones left and...
Dejevu for imps V Marby back 2000/01, Made the gf as underdogs and got soundly beaten, great toilers the slatteries and Mr Royston himself, look pretty as bridesmaids by the beach there.
Not there anymore... Although great bunch of blokes and admire the likes of the Irving bloodstock who have and will keep the club competitive regardless of who comes and goes..
The umpires you can cope with as they are bad for both teams...however if you lose the toss in a two dayer and bat the second week.... The council didn't roll the wicket.. The covers have a hole in them or they got stuck in the rooms and no one has the key....no one knows how to turn the...
Interested to see the outcome of the MPSMCC dispute v St Andrews North B2 result given ground not prepared due to 11 St Andrews players not available due to big day out commitments. Bet the covers didn't go down Thursday night either!
Played at West Newport in a A Turf Premiership when shifted to North B1 VTCA back in 2005.....believe me grass in not always greener on the other side. Good move for West to go back to WDCA regardless of how much everyone hates the success they have had since... all be it contraversial at...
Dio cane! The better teams will come & deliver...this will be the trend regardless of weather for the rest of the year!!
You may prefer to stay in bed until nonna makes breakfast but the rest of us will stick to egg & bacon on toast & suggest you change your morning diet to a cup of HTFU!!
Keen us mustard as is everyone but our deck looked very ordinary tonight at 5 & will take a miracle...rain or or no rain to get one prepared for 1pm tomorrow..
Barkly St have picked up an Old Scrapper named Andrew Mosca, best junior cricketer I saw in the late 80s early 90s, nearly 40 now making a come back but very good all rounder. Back to his old stomping ground at the old MCC & one to watch!!
Re: North A and B 2010/11
Good luck Bomber... You know who I am & the decision to go to the VTCA is a good one. Although your deck is in the top 5 in our comp it would be in the bottom 5 of that comp & the ground in general will be :mad:upon.
You will enjoy consistant bounce though being...
