What makes a comp relevant or not?
I would have thought every comp and division is relevant to those playing it.
CSB, Subbies, SECA, DDCA are all just community cricket comps nothing more..
So looks as though championship div & div 1 stay the same..
If the ranking system is used it will be
Div 2 parkdale in Cheltenham out
Div 3 Cheltenham in, Chelsea out
Div 4 parkdale, Chelsea in & Heatherton, parkdale united out
Parkdales 3s and 4s would go into div 5&6
Yeh it's Matt Pearson from Chelsea, he knows and gets along with the playing group sure he'll do fine.
Mckinnons wicket is done by the council and with the better curators normally assigned to the subbies clubs it's hit and miss..
Wrong person to ask, I sent port Melbourne in two years ago in 37 degrees and we rolled them and we were 6/30 on a stinkin hot day last year at south Caulfield.. Both good tracks. Weather and the coin toss won't decide the match, it's really not that big a deal.. If its forecast for 37 and your...
What is on paper looks like an exciting competition. There is no doubt that some things will work others won't but it seems that the new administration is very proactive so I'm sure any issues will be dealt with well..
Personally can't wait to get on the field and see how it unfolds!
Don't get all defensive now! I hope SC stay strong it and others come good and challenge them. McKinnons first eleven won't be one of them for now but other grades all played finals last year and the juniors are strong so it's not all doom and gloom. I thank you for concern
South Caulfield are being built up like this massive super club??? One premiership in 25 years, 9th and 10th place finishes as little as 5 years ago and now have just the one junior team (under 12 rookies).
Congratulations to them on their recent success but have had to $$recruit$$ pretty hard...
SCCC & YCCC were already smashing all of us in the south..
Be a nice even little local comp without them, if players outgrow it they can move on. Be good to see subbies 1sts & 2nds stay and the 3rds & 4ths join the regional comps.
The problem in the south was that with easy access to premier and sub district cricket on the area the players that wished to push themselves had plenty of options to do so. This has slowly drained the VTCA clubs leaving just the up and comers, loyal & older players all of which just wanted a...
