Sorry chips did that hit a nerve? Just saying that you speak of darwin cricket being far superior and yet a number of the Darwin sides have 75%+ imports. Darwin is "5 times the size", but yet cant fill 7 first grade clubs with enough good players. No one is saying Alice is on par with Darwin...

Also an Alice Springs side would go very well up here. Throw in a few imports to mix with Crowe, Reichstein, Clements, Clarke and the side would certainlty win games. Least they would have local and junior players from alice playing not filling a side full of imports.

Population may be 5 times higher but you are spreading that across more clubs and grades. It was good to see all these "Darwin/Import" guns dominate at the recent champs in Bundy not! 'Best batting line up ever' struggled to post over 200.

If they fill the super league side with imports it defeats the entire purpose of it. Its meant to be a pathway for 'Territory's own' players. Obviously the side will need to be strong in order to be competitive down south. But in my opinion you should have to play 2 seasons or more in Darwin to...
