^That's how it should be. Also encourages players to play, knowing they don't have to spend every second fortnight travelling across the City for a game of cricket, sacrificing other things such as work in the process.

It's not as if it's difficult to do. Get the lads, once finished training, to quickly run onto the ground... takes maybe 5 minutes... Common sense really

Considering I've retired, nope. Wouldn't bothered me in the slightest. Looks like decent enough weather at the moment, had the grade not been called off I'd suspect decks would and could have been prepared... you play cricket to play, not to be called off mid-week. (but that's just my opinion)

That's not even a good deck though. That's just an out-and-out road. Not much fun bowling on that. Very difficult to come from that far back, be a big step backwards for Beaumaris in this division

Yeh wow. 8/381 is staggering. 80 overs is a long time, so I think the low scores we regularly see in the VTCA is at the least somewhat odd, but 381 is a monster score from Greenvale. Rest of the comp, watch out.
