Thoughts on the standard of both Provincial and District comps? Haven’t followed them closely the last few years and has ditching 2 day games been successful?
Few too many ex Raiders running around at other clubs for their liking no doubt. Maybe focusing on retaining/regaining some of their better players would get the club back to respectability. This would be a handy team of ex Raiders playing at other clubs.

Great idea FM, all Provincial clubs to field A and B grades in Provincial only and up to two C grade sides only. Run the juniors along the same lines (Only 2 junior sides per age group) and the competition will be a lot more balanced. Congrats to Lavi/Wodonga and New City/Raiders who played...
In this era whats the best value for money in this price range? Gunn and Moore, Gray Nicholls, Kookaburra etc. The budget priced GM's look pretty good.
Couldn't think of a more ridiculous move for them to go back to the District comp, what would be the point? A bye in both comps and Belvoir and Wodonga getting their best juniors, no doubt Marmo got the best out of what he had. Stevenson will be a loss but Brunow will be lucky to get a game in...
What a great couple of rounds have been played so far with a few upsets already, looking forward to the 2 day stuff getting underway. Looking at the teams in the provincial comp so far this is what my thoughts are
* Wodonga are deserved flag favorites and despite an upset against Albury should...
Good luck to both clubs on going back up, interesting to see if a number of both of those clubs juniors still cross over to North Albury and Albury Titans as playing provincial was the big carrot for these young blokes to switch camps. Looks like an in town comp and out of town comp which is...
Any idea if the Bulldogs have finalised their application to field 2 sides in the district comp, are they going to be Wodonga's 3rds in district A grade and 4ths in B grade? If so makes a mockery of the District comp if clubs like Baranduda and to a lesser extent Raiders struggle for numbers...
Has Wodonga succumbed to peer pressure and had to open the cheque book? Say it isn't so Doggies! As for 3 poms playing in one side at East Albury hopefully they aren't recruited just to avoid relegation:p
What a load of shit throwing in a ring in to avoid being relegated, if I was the association I'd relegate Albury already for being perenially shit for the last decade.:D Heard a whisper a number of district clubs have considered reverting back to WDCA and running the district comp by itself...
If the selectors are preparing for the next world cup and are expected to cut Haddin out of the side I think David Hussey should be the next to go, he's a year older (35) and has only made one ODI century which was against Scotland and making 30-40's doesn't cut it at international level. My...
Heard a whisper yesterday that if East Albury win the wooden spoon this year, they will refuse to drop down to District and as half of their club work at WHK will pull out of their considerable sponsorship to the comp. Will be interesting to see the fallout if a long established former ABCA club...
Word is Hall is looking for greener pastures, I'm hearing the Howlong boys won't be shedding too many tears if he leaves. I don't think he was a great fit for the Howlong club culture, maybe a more anal Provincial club (eg.Lavi) might suit him better.
