Tbh i dont see how this structure is any different from what we already have. I mean barclay shield and money shield are all 1s anyway (except NEW 2nd), by introducing a structure for 1s XI to play other 1s XI is not much different from what we already have other then the few B grade clubs who...
Disappointing result. I must say as talented as new Zealand are, having watched them they don't have the experience to win these tight contests and looked naive.
Wow that sounds bad. I think it depends on the school i guess, maybe ur kids dont go to a very sports orientated school. I know my first primary school was quite 'hippy' so cricket or sports in general wasnt a big focus.
My second school was quite sporty and there was much focus on sports there...
Is it true that it is wayyyy more expensive to play cricket in England compared to Australia? Hence only upper class ppl play in England whereas in Australia anyone can play and hence Australia is better at cricket
This might seem like a stupid question but i want to know why so many coaches stress this point. Especially taking a big foot movement. I dont take a huge foot movemement but am still effective at scoring runs. Yet my coach says i should improve my footwork. Thanks.
yes but it also makes it a bit easier to come back into the top flight the following year should they get relegated. And lalor and mernda were the top 2 sides this year (grand finalists).
I know next year is an exception but do u think 1 up 1 down relegation system can be improved. I mean with a good strong association like diamond valley sometimes more then 1 team sometimes deserve to play in a higher grade instead of being stuck in money shield for 20 years. Top 2 should get...
Thats what i am trying to say mark the lines on pitches. But how many clubs do that? Most just go by the 'width of the pitch'. There should be a set standard. Dont think it affects the game too much, but i still think it makes sense to have a standard in today's politically correct world.
Not the best argument, ground sizes are different everywhere in football too (different stadiums change their ground size to suit their style 'wide play' or 'narrow play') cant do anything about that but the important elements such as penalty area, or in cricket's case the size of the wide lines...
I dont think it affects the game as such (unless you are playing f grade or below), however i still find it astounding that we let such a discrepancy exist. I mean can you imagine soccer with a smaller penalty area, or nrl with different distance yard lines?
If a wide is the 'width of a big pitch', as it going by international standards or anywhere turf cricket is played (i dont know the exact dimension) then obviously you cant spray paint lines on a narrow pitch, what you can do is allow more flexibility and leniency in calling wides on these...
