Long time no hear, Clock. A little birdie tells me Mackie may have been a tad lucky courtesy of a dishonest fieldsman and there being no boundary fence. But alas, the Two Blues get a shot at redemption this weekend. Onto the big dances...... A few seasons ago the Wash Ups left a sour taste in...

I'm hearing that a club not used to losing requested SECA Exec review the match result of a recent T20 fixture. Trying to claim 10 runs for a slow over rate when they themselves may have bowled a slow over rate in the first innings contributing to the game finishing just after 8pm...

Each to their own, Rtg, but I would think if it was enough to incense Warne and his teammates then the lout probably needs to think about opening his gob. And if he's going to leave his crease then cry foul to the umps when confronted then perhaps he needs to think about his actions too...

Good work, Shabster. However, I suggest you have a chat to Jack Morrison about how he represents your club when a legend of the game gives back to community cricket. It would be a great shame if an opportunity like this was passed because of the deeds of one lout taking things too far...

Who was the lout seeking his 5 seconds of fame by taunting Warnie about Liz Hurley and then sulking to the umps when it blew up in his face?

I'm sure that your post makes sense to you, but it looks all over the shop and I don't care enough to continue debating the fixtures and team grading. It seemed pretty clear to me the way it was explained at the Season Launch. If you don't like it get on the committee and do something about it...

It was explained clearly at the Season Launch a couple of weeks ago. Gradings were judged both on the club's team applications and the team's performances throughout the 2014/15 home and away season. Mark Rainey was very clear about the process. Given that the Season Launch invite was extended...

Fair call, but they've retained their list and added an import. Young blokes will be better for the experience and the old brigade haven't shown any signs of ageing. Krotofil will play 2s, but I suspect if he's up that high it won't be long before he's playing 72 overs again. Having said that, I...

Ah yes, of course. Bell deserves a crack at the top grade. Will be good to see him test his wares in Longmuir. Great acquisition. Good news for WBCC and Brown. Have heard the news on a Bonbeach recruit to Mackie and that Jewell will stay at Sorrento after Union made a big play at him. Great...

MYCA website - http://myca.vic.cricket.com.au Standard is varied. Some very handy cricketers getting around and some are there for the enjoyment. Competition has 9 sections which are zoned geographically. Cost is $336 to enter a team. That covers affiliation fees and Yellow match balls. You...

It was released to clubs at Wednesday's Season Launch with the proviso that they weren't 100% committed to it in some grades. A memo went out today that a further 3 teams have withdrawn. I presume it will only impact the bottom couple of grades, but that wasn't confirmed by the email.

Great to have the draw, but a trip to Port Melbourne in Rd.1 isn't the ideal way to kick off the season! Thought the Season Launch was well organised for a first time trial.

Agree with the sentiment of aligning clubs & grades, wp, but it's been proven over time that it doesn't work. 5 of the 12 Woolnough teams in 14/15 will be 2nd XI. A further 4 teams will have 1st XI teams in Quiney. Where do we find a 12th 1st XI team for Woolnough and is it worth bringing them...

Fairly confident that's right. Same with a few other new clubs starting quite low. Perhaps they've lost numbers or they're spreading teams across comps? All will be revealed in the coming weeks when we see our fixtures.
