I had to do one the other day for a police medical and they only require a level 5.4!

It depends how you have been taught, if i'm doing it correctly i wont be getting hit in the face anyway! plus you seem to be missing the fact i mentioned earlier.... i always keep with a Lid to quick bowlers!

I'd never knock my bat in with a machine, Most bats come pre knocked in but i'd always give them a few hours of old ball and old ball in the nets!

You get your head in line with the ball, take the ball with your hands under the line of the head and your feet...

well i will stick with what i know and have been taught..... i'm used to watching the ball from the bowlers arm all the way into my gloves under my nose!

well maybe its because i'm a wicket keeper, but even from my batting coach i'm taught to get my head inline with the pitch of the ball and play it under my head! So even if the ball gets tall on you, you should still be watching it..... and thus not turning your head away...

I never wear a lid for batting, but i always do for keeping! strange really!
