I agree they would be responsible but a little common sense should come into it when choosing the location and quality of the ground but unfortunately it hasnt happened in the subbies this week.
The subbies digging their heels in is no surprise, but to a lot of subbies clubs the CV changes will be a godsend. Cricket at subbies level and lower is really struggling so the changes are inevitable.
I'm unsure of Deer Parks situation at the time but surely you have to earn your stripes first? They couldnt win a flag when they played against everyones 2nds ffs..............

The temp in Laverton never got above 36.3 on saturday, so if you look at the group of clubs who have to go by the Lavo weather you'll find a few sunshine clubs amongst them. I was at Newport and they go by Melb temperature so they got called off.

Well I played my first game in the VTCA today, we went pretty ordinary first up but live to fight another day.
I must say, not having umpires for the first time ever is pretty crappy, something needs to be done about that but overall the game was played in good spirits
My guess would be its because they only have 2 teams & they want to keep their connection to the churches comp. They have had an association with the churches for a hundred years, im sure Congs do the same with the 3rds
