1st Twenty20 International: New Zealand v West Indies @ Auckland

Re: 1st Twenty20 International: New Zealand v West Indies @ Auckland

The West Indies won via a one1 eliminator in what was a very exciting finish.

Seeing as the amount won by both 'winners' was on;y 83 B cash, I think we can let it stay as it is.

Re: 1st Twenty20 International: New Zealand v West Indies @ Auckland

I accidently won 183 dollars on this event by incorrectly selecting both teams as winners.

I created a new event where i lost 183 dollars on purpose to make it even: http://www.bigcricket.com/forum/t62725/

Sorry if this caused any confusion.

Maybe you should add two more categories we can choose from.

Draw

I disagree with betting on the draw on a site like this. Betting on a tie is betting on the weather and that's not in the spirit of this site. I prefer to have the 2 options and refend money in the case of a draw rather than taking money off people because it rained.

However, in test matches it's a completely different story.

Impossible to have a Twenty20 tie. The one1 eliminator will decide the result.

Re: 1st Twenty20 International: New Zealand v West Indies @ Auckland

In Twenty20 there can only be two outcomes, win or loss. There cannot be a tie in Twenty20 cricket so that outcome becomes irrelevent. The only other outcome possible is "No Result" and betting on that would be entirely pointless plus sporting bet agencies don't offer odds on games becoming a No Result. The No Result outcome is also possible in ODI games.

A "draw" can only occur in test cricket where a result cannot be reached within the five day period of a test match. Draws cannot be reached in ODI or Twenty20 cricket. The correct term in cricket for a game where two teams finish on an equal amount of runs is a "tie".
