3rd ODI: England vs India at Edgbaston

Third game of the series is underway. India won the toss and elected to bowl. This game is also a day game, the previous two have been day/night fixtures.

So far, England have looked pretty good and have got off to a swift start and find themselves 1/85 after 16 overs. Matt Prior is the only wicket to fall and fell to Munaf Patel for 34. Alistair Cook is 39 not out and Ian Bell is undefeated on 2.

England is on 185 for 3 wickets after 37 overs, Bell and Collingwood seem to be batting reasonably well.

And Owais Shah is clean bowled by Yuvraj in 44th over, 1 ball after hitting him for a big SIX.

And Bell gets in on the act, hitting Chawla for SIX and moves onto 74.

Another Singh strikes, this time, RP Singh. Bopara is out for just 10.

6/246 now. Bell is still there on 74. He will need to bat to the end for England to get a competitive score.

this game is poised to be another thriller again if England can make use of the last 3 overs.

This series had has many good things come out of it one of which being the emergence of Ian Bell as a one day player. There has always been doubts over wether he was too defensive but i think in this series he has proved that he can get the job done in both forms of the game.

India is on 68 for 2 wickets after 15.2 overs. Tendulkar and Karthik were out very quickly. Ganguly and Dravid are batting right now.

India are 128 for 2 after 28 overs. Both Ganguly and Dravid got their half-centuries, with Dravid and Ganguly having had one SIX each off of Collingwood and Monty Panesar respectively. But the asking rate is pretty steep, almost 7. They will have to pick things up a lot more.

Rahul Dravid clean bowled by Tremlett on 56. India 140 for 3 after 30 overs, with required run rate of 7.10

Tremlett takes Ganguly's wicket for 72 too, and India are in deep trouble here. 149 for 4 after 32 overs with required run rate of 7.38!!

India aren't out of this one yet. Yuvraj and Dhoni just took 12 from Tremlett's 5th over and the Ravi Bopara's first over went for seven runs. They are still there the Indians, they just need to get as many runs off the part-timers as they can without being too silly and they will continue to be in the hunt for victory.

They are 4/175 after 35 overs, the last five overs have seen 35 runs scored. The asking rate is 7.13. Yuvraj is 24 off 18, Dhoni four off eight.
