3rd ODI: Kenya v Bermuda at Nairobi

Unsurprisingly, Kenya won the second ODI a few days ago, though it may have been a little closer than expected.

Bermuda only managed 183-9 in their 50 overs, but Kenya made tough going of that chase, falling to 134-6 before eventually winning with 187-7 with about 6 overs remaining.

So Kenya has the series wrapped up 2-0.

Bermuda got off to a good start in today's 3rd ODI, 56-0 after 16 overs.

But Alfred Luseno took 2 straight wickets to end the next over, leaving Bermuda at 58-2.

LUSENO!!!

He missed out on the hat trick, but took TWO MORE wickets in his next over!

Bermuda is now reeling at 63-4 after 20 overs, and Luseno has figures of 4/21 from 5 overs.


In all 6 of his previous ODIs combined, he'd taken a grand total of 2 wickets.
Of course, his previous ODIs were against slightly tougher opposition.

Bermuda managed to recover to 154-5, but they just lost wickets in three consecutive overs.

Edness made it all the way up to 72 for them. It probably won't be anywhere near enough to help them to a win though.

Bermuda 157-8 after 43 overs.

Bermuda all out for 167.

Kenya will need to come up with a really good excuse if they can't win this one today.

Bermuda show so much promise sometimes but then they go and do something like that today. Had a good start, lost four quick wickets. Middle order recovers, then lose another two wickets.

Edness made 72 for Bermuda and Luseno took 4/32.

Kenya are 7/140 in reply. Most of the Kenyan Batters haven't contributed much and the reason they are where they are is because of Steve Tikolo who is 60 not out.

Leverock, Jones and Trott have two wickets each.

Hmmm, interestingly poised at the minute. Kenya need 28 runs from 20.4 overs.

Oh, now this is interesting!! Ongondo is out to Trott with a well-held caught and bowled chance. Ongondo smashed it straight at him but Trott took the ball into his hands and held the chance.

8/141 after 31 overs. Still need 27.

9/158 now as Trott collects his fourth wicket, getting Varaiya caught at slips by Dwayne "The Rock" Leverock.

10 runs needed with one wicket in hand. Plenty of time left with 14.3 overs available.

Game over!! Tikolo dispatches Trott for six and enya have snuck home by one wicket.

They reach 9/169 with Tikolo 89 not out and Kenya would be thanking their lucky stars that Tikolo was playing for them today otherwise things would have been really bad.

Bermuda very unlucky but they are showing some progress, they've taken it up to Kenya at times in this series and they almost came away win a win today. Despite losing, they will no doubt be pleased with their efforts, they definitely shown that they can match it with the better teams.

That concludes the series which Kenya have won 3-0.

What a shocking innings from Kenya! They'd better hope that Tikolo doesn't retire anytime soon. (And considering that he still seems to have a healthy appetite for the game, it looks like he'll be sticking around for quite a few more years.)
