Re: 6th ODI: England vs India at The Oval

Zaheer Kahn gets Alastair Cook caught behind by MS Dhoni for a second ball duck. India get the perfect start as they look to level the series 3-3. Matt Prior opened, the new batsmen is Ian Bell who gets off the mark straight away with a boundry.

Re: 6th ODI: England vs India at The Oval

Prior falls LBW bowled Agarkar for 6 off 5 balls

England in real trouble here at 2/20 off 3.3 overs

Bell and Pietersen must have a big partnership here

Re: 6th ODI: England vs India at The Oval

Piyush Chawla bowls Bell for 49 off 59 balls, it's 3/82 off 17 overs.

That was a 59 run partnership between him and Pietersen.

The next man in is Collingwood

Re: 6th ODI: England vs India at The Oval

The captain Collingwood is run out for 1 off 3 balls

Umpire called didn't call for the replay, looked at the big screen to find Collingwood short of his ground and then gave him out

England are now 4/87 now with Pietersen and Shah the current batsmen

Re: 6th ODI: England vs India at The Oval

Got a real game on our hands here.

Owais Shah did the job for England and he reached his maiden ODI century, remaining not out on 107 as he propelled England to a very competitive total of 6/316 off 50 overs.

He had some excellent help though. Kevin Pietersen scored 53 with debutant Luke Wright scoring 50 runs off 39 balls. Then to top things off, Dimitri Mascarenhas smashed 36 not out off just 15 balls to see the score pass 300. Mascarenhas' entertaining cameo included 5 sixes.

Zaheer Khan, Piyush Chawla and Ajit Agarkar took one wicket each for the Indians. Only Zaheer and Chawla bowled with any real substance, the others were punished accordingly with Yuvraj Singh leaking 59 runs from just five overs.

India are making a fight of this game though. Ganguly and Tendulkar opened up well and the first wicket wasn't lost till 150 when Ganguly fell to Staurt Broad for 53. Tendulkar got out in the 90's yet again, this time compiling 94 and Yuvraj Singh was just caught and bowled by Mascarenhas for 18.

India are 3/209 in the 35th over. Gautam Gambhir is 32 not out.

Required run rate is creeping up though, it's at 6.89 runs per over now.

Rahul Dravid walks to the crease.

Re: 6th ODI: England vs India at The Oval

Dravid falls to Owais Shah for just four. Dravid has been in great form adn to get him is a big wicket.

Shah is having a day of firsts, Dravid was his first ODI wicket!! And what a wicket to get.

4/216 after 36 overs.

Re: 6th ODI: England vs India at The Oval

Gambhir falls to Mascarenhas for 47. Gambhir really needed to stick around for India to have a chance of winning the game.

They can still win this match but it will be an uphill battle from here.

5/235 after 41 overs. Need 9.11 runs per over.

Re: 6th ODI: England vs India at The Oval

This is going to be a close one.

5/273 after 45.3 overs. Dhoni on 22 and Robin Uthappa is 18 not out.

44 runs needed off 27 balls (9.77 runs per over).

Re: 6th ODI: England vs India at The Oval

Anderson throwing pies again. 15 runs off that over. Don't know how anyone can get out to this hack.

Anderson 7-0-66-0

India 5/290 after 47 overs.

27 needed from the last three overs. Dhoni 33, Uthappa 23.

Re: 6th ODI: England vs India at The Oval

Broad bowls Dhoni for 35. Stuart bowled a great over, four runs and a wicket from it.

7/307 now. 10 needed from the last over.

Anderson has given up 13 runs from this over but both fours have been from outside edges. His figures are looking quite embarassing at the moment, 8-0-79-0.

Agarkar was the man to fall, run out for one trying to come back for the second. Bell's return was wide but Anderson was good enough to hit the stumps by himself.

Re: 6th ODI: England vs India at The Oval

Two runs from the first ball but the second ball is another run-out!!! This time its Zaheer Khan who is out and he is out for a diamond duck (run out without facing a ball)!!

8/309, eight needed from four balls.

Re: 6th ODI: England vs India at The Oval

2 from 2

edit: never mind, India won.

good for them

Re: 6th ODI: England vs India at The Oval

3rd ball: FOUR!!! Flicks it round the corner through fine leg for a boundary. Four runs needed off three balls now.

4th ball: FOUR!!! India have won it!!!! Robin Uthappa is their saviour and India tie the series at 3-3.

Uthappa finishes on 47 not out off just 33 balls. What a great innings from him!! Poor Staurt Broad though, had to bowl that last over, he bowled well early on but India have scored the winning runs off his bowling.

India win by two wickets and the series is still alive. 7th game will be a pearler!!!

Re: 6th ODI: England vs India at The Oval
