6th ODI: India vs Australia at Nagpur.

Sixth game is underway, a win for Australia will secure them the series.

Australia won the toss and chose to bat first. Matt Hayden is out of the sidewith his injured hip and Brad Haddin replaces him. The nude pic artist Brad Hodge is still in the team.

Sreesanth comes into the Indian side for RP Singh.

Australia have made a good start and are 1/80 after 12 overs.

Australia XI: 1 +Adam Gilchrist, 2 Brad Haddin, 3 *Ricky Ponting, 4 Michael Clarke, 5 Brad Hodge, 6 Andrew Symonds, 7 Brad Hogg, 8 James Hopes, 9 Brett Lee, 10 Nathan Bracken, 11 Mitchell Johnson

India XI: 1 Sourav Ganguly, 2 Sachin Tendulkar, 3 Rahul Dravid, 4 Yuvraj Singh, 5 *+Mahandra Singh Dhoni, 6 Robin Uthappa, 7 Irfan Pathan, 8 Murali Kartik, 9 Harbhajan Singh, 10 Zaheer Khan, 11 S Sreesanth

Re: 6th ODI: India vs Australia at Nagpur.

Ponting falls on 49, caught by Dravid off the bowling of Harbhajan Singh.

2/98 after 14.4 overs, Gilchrist is 48 not out.

Nude pic artist Brad Hodge is in. Interestingly, Adam Gilchrist is batting with a squash ball in his inner glove. We all know what happened when he did it in the World Cup final..

Re: 6th ODI: India vs Australia at Nagpur.

Gilchrist gets his 50 with a flick through midwicket.

2/102 after 15.4 overs.

EDIT: Out next ball for 51, 3/102.

Re: 6th ODI: India vs Australia at Nagpur.

Brad Hodge out for 20.

4/129 after 22 overs.

Brad Haddin is the new man in. If Haddin bats well here and Hayden is available for the 7th match, then surely Hodge is gone?

Re: 6th ODI: India vs Australia at Nagpur.

Haddin was out for 25 after a slow innings which lasted 53 deliveries.

5/215 after 40 overs. Andrew Symonds is 57 not out and you'd reckon he would have to bat till the end for Australia to get 300.

Re: 6th ODI: India vs Australia at Nagpur.

Andrew Symonds gets his century, off just 82 balls.

And James Hopes has just fallen for a supportive 39 off 30. Been good this series.

6/294 off 47.4 overs. Symonds is 103 not out. New batsman is Brett Lee who comes in ahead of Brad Hogg.

Sreesanth dropped Symonds when he was on two, a catch that wasn't overly difficult. Might not see any clapping from Sreesanth today. ;)

Re: 6th ODI: India vs Australia at Nagpur.

Australai finish up 8/317 after their 50 overs. That's 102 runs off the last 10 overs of the innings, quite a remarkable effort.

Symonds remains not out on 107, batted like an absolute superstar today. There is no doubting that he is one of the best one-day players in the world, this innings won't do his cchances of getting a test call-up any harm either.

Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson were both run-out in the last over for 17 and one respectively.

Going to be a tough chase for India today, it will all be up to the top order to see who can score the runs. Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid, Dhoni and co will all have to get amongst the runs if they want to keep the series alive.

If India can get something going early we could be in for an interesting chase. They'll need to play some very good cricket here though to be competitive.

Re: 6th ODI: India vs Australia at Nagpur.

Once again the Indian bowlers were too expensive not that's it's easy to stop such a potent batting lineup. India would have to bat super well to win this and with the way the Aussies are bowling i don't think they have much of a chance.

Re: 6th ODI: India vs Australia at Nagpur.

I am total new in cricket, so just wondering how it
looks, who will win, who leads ?

Re: 6th ODI: India vs Australia at Nagpur.

Ganguly and Tendulkar are off to a fine start, 78-0 after 14 overs. They're definitely giving India a legitimate thought of winning the match.

It's not exactly like a basketball game where one team obviously has more points than the other.

Australia has put up a rather large total today, but through the first 14 overs, India is doing a decent job of trying to match it. They still have a long, long way to go, but so far, they're doing okay.

I wouldn't say that. The Australian total is big enough that this is going to be a very tough total for India to reach.

If i ask you with this start in the game, who do you think will win the game?

Re: 6th ODI: India vs Australia at Nagpur.

India is currently 89-0 after 17 overs.

Australia was 105-3 after their first 17 overs. Even though India hasn't lost any wickets yet, those 16 runs are going to be tough to make up, especially considering how many runs Australia scored in their final 10 overs.

India's required run rate is now 7 runs per over.

Australia has the advantage right now, and should be expected to win. You never know though, of course that's why they play the game.

Re: 6th ODI: India vs Australia at Nagpur.

India still scoring at an acceptable pace here. Symonds bowled quite economically, giving up a mere 14 runs from 5 overs, but he's done for now. And India keep scoring, 126-0 after 23.

I say bring on Clarke and give him a shot.

Re: 6th ODI: India vs Australia at Nagpur.

Fantastic batting from the Indian's so far. I disagree with bringing Clarke on, i'd say bring Lee back and go for the wicket.

Re: 6th ODI: India vs Australia at Nagpur.

Tendulkar stumped for 72!!!!

140-1 after 25

Would you bet your money right now for a Aussie win :) ?
