Andrew Flintoff retires from all forms of cricket
English All-rounder Andrew Flintoff has retired from all forms of cricket after succumbing to a long-standing knee injury. Flintoff announced his retirement after medical advice stated that he could not make a full recovery from his troublesome knee and that it was pretty doubtful that the knee could stand the ongoing rigours of playing international cricket.
Flintoff had already retired from test cricket after last year's Ashes series and stated that he would like to continue as a one-day cricket specialist. However, his knee problems have forced him to retire from the game completely.

Not the way he would have wanted his career to end, I genuinely thought he'd have a couple more years left at the elite level, perhaps even playing as a T20 specialist in the various leagues we have now.
Flintoff will go down as a good player for England and his stats will back that up but he could have been a great one had it not been for a few misdemeanours.
