back foot positioning (angles)

hi,
i'm trying to bowl properley side-on but after having my coach record my action my back foot is more at a 70 degree angle to my front foot i.e more side on then front on. Is this bad or can i blag it 4 a bit

Re: back foot positioning (angles)

You could have a mid-action or side-on 2 action. This is the action that Glen McGrath had (and he wasn't bad was he?!)

Re: back foot positioning (angles)

Now this might be wrong but as far as I know, If your upper and lower body are pointing the same direction it doesn't really matter what that direction is.

Re: back foot positioning (angles)

me and phil are pretty similar we are mixed way bowlers i think thats what its called i keep my back foot on a 45 degree angle aslong as your body goes one way its all good!!

Re: back foot positioning (angles)

*midway bowlers, sorry to correct but a mixed action is when the top half of your body points one way and the bottom another - thats what causes you injuries but midways all fine mines midway
