BigCricket Tour of StickCricket

That's right, an International Tour! We're in the process of getting together a side for the end-of-year World Cup, and aiming towards that we will be going on a brief but intense tour of StickCricket in March.

The tour will occur from Saturday the 10th of March until Tuesday the 20th, with specific matches still to be confirmed. This will occur at the conclusion of our regular season of the domestic competition, and the playoffs will thus be pushed back by 1 week. That gives most of the players a chance to rest up, while the lucky players chosen will get a chance to test themselves against some new opposition.

We'd like to get a squad together as soon as possible, so we need to know who is up for selection. We've already started gathering a list HERE, so post your name up there to be eligible for both this tour and the later World Cup.

This is our chance Sloggers. Our chance to get back into the international arena with a bang! Let's not let ourselves down.

The match schedule for the tour has been agreed upon, and will be announced soon. As previously mentioned, the BigCricket team will travel to StickCricket on March 10th, and the first match will take place on the 11th. The touring squad will be finalized and announced by March 1st - stay tuned!

The brass at StickCricket forum have also invited us to begin the trash talking now. Feel free to begin the sledging well before the first ball is bowled.

yep. match threads and probably most inter-forum discussion will happen there, since they are hosting us. I will be posting scores and other details here for our own discussion, and hopefully they will return the tour at a later date.

Looks a great squad there, I hope we can challenge StickSports. Will be interesting to see how they are going since we last played them.

They were rather average in the inter-forum competition.

According to the schedule, I think there is one test and three one-day games.

The tour dates have now been finalized, and here they are. To accomodate the tour, the last round of First-Class games here has been moved up, and will be played early next week. It's an intense schedule, but shoud be a good one - I like our chances lads! Again, all the games will take place on the sticksports forum, so go there for the commentary. I will post final results here.

So let's go win this thing, boys! See if we can't get some chatter going over on their site as well, show them we mean it.

Great side, should be a very successful tour, I'll be there in the crowd, losing braincells, so I expect some serious wins

Yeah, not everyone will get to play every game - there's 16 on the squad and only 11 in each game. Be nice to Ljp, and maybe you'll get more playing time.
