Bushfire Appeal

Hello all BCA cricketers,

On Friday a teaching colleague and I are heading up to Whittlesea in a donated Hertz 6 tonne truck with a load of toiletries and colouring books for the people of the Whittlesea/Kinglake area.

I've been in contact with the Op Shop at Whittlesea, in the heart of the devastation, and have offered our help.

These people are in desperate need of the basic necessities such as:

* Towels
* Face washers
* Hairbrushes
* Toothbrushes
* Soap
* Shampoo & conditioner
* Toilet paper

We are asking you, the good folk of the BCA, to get to your local supermarket and purchase as many of these items as you can afford and bring them to either the GPCC Eastern Oval rooms on Thursday evening or to Mount Clear College by noon on Friday February 13th.

The aim is to fill the truck with toiletries and colouring books by Friday lunchtime with your donations and drive directly to Whittlesea in the afternoon to drop off the goods.

You all know what it’s like when you get off a long flight and you have a wash and brush your teeth. Imagine it after a week!
