Some pretty silly batting until some Sammy heroics towards the end smashing 56 off 35 balls to help them get to 9 for 233. Not too bad of a total.
 
So the big game is on tonight :)

Clarke not playing and Vettori very likely to be out, Australia should be slight favourites but the Kiwis love nothing more than to beat us and always lift a gear or 2. .
He's ordinary Doherty but surely Australia has to play a spinner. NCN should also be given a go ;)

edit - or I guess they'll play Maxwell and be happy with his off breaks.

So it begins. :p

Elliot won't be playing for NZ either and Bracewell and Munro could possibly be coming into the side. I've also heard that Franklin could be opening with Guptill with Ronchi down the order.
 
Cool, Vettori pulled up alright and is playing.

Australia batting first, sounds like David Warner is a bit of strife..
 
Oh no Watson goes for 5 massive wicket.

Wade needs to do something for once, an average of 22 and sr of 68 is pretty pathetic when he's not in the side for his keeping.
 
Nah in all honesty watching the game NZ were pretty much screwed and would've been happy to escape with a point. Oh well.

We need Sri Lanka to win to stay in the tournament..

Living in Australia and always associating the game with extreme heat it's funny seeing all these people rugged up at the ground.

Good old England haha. Well SL did it for you. Now NZ have to beat England...again lol.
 
Yep need Kiwis to beat England and then Australia beat Sri Lanka to get through.

Sounds like it will be something like a 35 over game for tonight. Bloody rain, it's forecast for all weekend too.
 
It's a shame that rain will probably intervene with the majority of the remaining games in the tournament, just as the stakes were raised and the tournament was really heating up. The India-Pakistan tie tomorrow will be interrupted in the afternoon but we should still get a game,though heavy rain and/or showers are forecast all day for the last two group games.
