Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Seems you're either too ignorant to realise you're doing it or there's a genuine naivety about your posts Brett, but it really does look like you pump your own tyres and that of your old club at times. It basically looks like you're inadvertantly telling us all how good you think you are without saying "I AM A SUPERSTAR". It can get a little overbearing to say the least. And your failed attempts with the quips and euphemisms aren't doing you any favours.

Back onto the topic of 21's, as I stated last week Kerod Burton would have to come into serious consideration. Sugar and his mates will attest to the kid's ability. Swings the axe hard as a tailender, but his bowling would have to be up there as one of the better 18 year olds running around in the CMCA. Almost singlehandedly won us the game on the weekend with 5/32 off 17 overs. Ripper game which could've gone either way. Both innings lost 2 early wickets before a couple of solid partnerships and then a flurry of wickets at the end. The experienced heads of ANA held sway and got them over the line 9 down. Dubious lbw decision proved very costly, but you get those. The umpire's reason for the decision given is up there with the best. When questioned he responded that the batsman was hit too high which we all found quite laughable given it was almost a yorker. 1 ball later the umpire actually apologised and said he didn't see it. Can't fault him for his honesty, but disappointing all the same.
Looks like East Sandy have got their mojo back in Woolnough. Chasing down 240 & 260 in 2 weeks is a fair effort.

I see Burgs got runs against his old club in the 1 day grade.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Your boys are definitely on the way up Mick. Great effort in trying to defend 157 on Saturday. As you said, could have gone either way.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Uncle Mick i assure you it is not the case, i just defended my old club when no one gave them a chance and now they are 2-2.
Maybe i am ignorant,i don't see it but maybe now that you mentioned it as well as the Bott man i might have to take a look at how i write things.
I have looked a little back into my old post and can't really see what you mean but i will take note and try to be what they call a little selfinvolved.

Cheers Mick

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Bottsy - you wanna tell Mr.Ernst that you're actually posting as yourself. I received a text msg yesterday accusing me of posting under your name and stirring the kid up.
Just to clear it up Brett, if you look back at earlier posts you'll see Bottsy initially began posting to defend himself. If you think I've got the time to post as often as I do and then post under the countless aliases some have alluded to, then you're a seriously deluded soul young man.
Might be time for you to move on and continue post to yourself on the 'DDCA' sub forum of the "BIG CRICKET FORUM" cos the CMCA one has just about had enough of you, bud.

Totally agree with you Mick. Obviously I am posting as myself as you stated. Explains a lot about Mr. Ernst doesn't it!

Why does he have your mobile number anyway Mick?!

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

For starters Mick i know all about your efforts on Big footy and how many alias can be drawn back to you.
So its not that hard to fetch the idea that you do it on Big cricket, as there are plenty of alias on this forum and is real possible that you could be 1 if not 3 of them.
It's hard to take anyone serious on here as how does anyone know who they are really talking to.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Mick Flahive is an out and out champion. The best left-arm bowler the CMCA has seen in the last 15 years. He should be rewarded for all his efforts he has achieved during his long career over 2 clubs.
Mick Flahive, we salute you!

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Jamster,

As much as Micky can complain about an LBW decision, the answer is who knows? If the keeper had caught Jason Sherlock early, then it would have been game over.

LBW decisions are always contentious. Sometimes the decision depends on the umpire, sometimes umpires make mistakes. Irrespective, an umpire stands there to perform across both innings, so both teams get an chance to create opportunities or get some rub of the green.

Complaining about umpires are irrelevant when there are opportunities such as catches to win the game without relying on them. We dropped a few, as did Highett West. Either side could have made the difference by taking them.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Lads,
Just a reminder that this Sunday is the Annual Mike Smith Cup Charity Day down at Bricker Reserve.
It's always a fantastic day as OMEGA C.C is up against the Richmond F.C in a 20/20 match.

Also this year we're having a CMCA 100 metre sprint at the change of innings.

Confirmed starters thus far are N.Harris (elwood), B.Lawford (ANA), D.Rayson(B.U), K.Brown (WP), Damien Holmes (W.B)..East sandy and Bentleigh uniting yet to confirm their runner.

Uncle Mick I've sent you a facebook message to see if you can get someone from Highett West to compete. Prize is $500 and a trophy, entry fee is $50.

For more information on the day go too: http://www.omegacricketclub.org.au/Flyer_2008.pdf

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Bottsy - Ernst and I organised a practise match pre-season hence the exchange of numbers.

Again to you Brett - Rumours and innuendo champ. When you've heard it from the horses mouth or have sufficient evidence to support your claims, then we can consider it. I played the fall guy as a joke and it got out of hand. One of your Oakleigh mates confronted me about bigfooty at The Edgy one night and was sorely mistaken. Time to give it a rest.

thSerious - what sort of a guy gets on here and refers to themsleves in the 3rd person? Not what I'm about mate.

Sugar - I was more making a point about the reasoning of the lbw decision, but while we're on it Sammy's 30 at the end proved to be the difference and that decision could impact our season. Hard to cop that reasoning when they're paid sufficiently to watch the game. We've gone from a potential 2-2 to 1-3. Having said that, we make no excuses for the fact we dropped Jase, but more improtantly, we should've put a lot more runs on the board. 157 is rarely going to win you a game of cricket and for that we have only ourselves to blame.

Ordinary - I scarcely get on Facebook. I'll run it by the boys at training tonight and give Timmy Malane a call to let him know. Anton Duddy was saying he'll run in the sprint.

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Just doing my bit for the club.

How are all the girls doing? More to the point, what are you doing on this bloody forum when you've just had the twins?

Re: CMCA- Ommies to remain in top grade

Michael Flahive. Gutless turd from Highett West with the intelligence of an imbecile and the IQ of an eggplant. This dickhead is a good for nothing ******** that writes on this site under a dozen different alias and is simply a cocksucker. More than likely a closet transvestite, he is regularly found in the gutter where he belongs other than when bowling absolute garbage and serving up cream pies to CMCA batsmen. What a fair dinkum sheila.

Nice to see I have a fan.

Here's an English lesson for you, old boy. IQ = Intelligence Quotient. So which is it? 'Imbecile' or 'eggplant'?
Back to school before you question other people's intelligence. People in glass houses, hey Frank...?

Keep it nice Frank. Back off Brett too you blokes, he's a worthwhile contributor. Let's get a bit of interesting stuff going again instead of carrying on like kiddies.
