Re: cricket brands

Have to say them I'm a sucker for Grey Nicholls kit, not really sure why. Kookaburra have a bad rep as the bats are so soft and break and the others I really don't know much about to comment on.

Re: cricket brands

i dont really get to see any of those brands, i use reebok bat and some mrf leg pads and gloves. i hear good things about woodworm from my english friends and the others are very big companies but sadly not here so much

Re: cricket brands

Gunn and Moore for me, have some of the purist stuff but its a few years old now.

Might look at a new bat for the summer, probably the Hero or Cannon.

Re: cricket brands

Its gotta be the Kook! Obviously ever brand has differnt pros and cons, for me, more pros in Kookaburra than any other.

Re: cricket brands

I think its the smaller brands, they care for the buisness more and normally do higher quality goods, you might have to pay a bit more but if the bat breaks you can speak to the guy at the shop and he'll sort you out with something. Small brands are the way to go! :D

Re: cricket brands

I agree with Timed Out here to some extent, but if you want THE perfect bat, go with a small firm who specially make them. One day i hope to get one!!

Re: cricket brands

I dont know about these brands. One friend has a GM bat but I dont know about the other brands. I dont know if they are available I think they must be quite costly here.

I agree Rohit;they are costly available in Mumbai especially English Willow; If I presume u stay in Mumbai.

Re: cricket brands

From what I know though you have more opportunity to get something customed made in India.

I would always go down that route if it's an option.

Re: cricket brands

Like we said in the bat thread it really depends on your price range. I see you have a kookaburra in your avatar and I think that someone recommended the Ice sub 40 (?).

Yes I stay in mumbai. The english willow are very costly for me. I brought kashmir willow bat for Rs 900 a year ago. I cannot afford to spend more than that.

I am using RNS bat. They give different balls many times but the most of the times we use SS balls.
