Cricket Secrets

Hi, i don't know if i allowed say this so just remove it if you have an milimetre of doubt. Can anyone ever recall using a website called
cricketsecrets.com as a cricket forum. I did for years but tbf its gone to the shit pan. ian cannaway was the admin i think. i was just wondering are any members from on here past cricket secrets members. I think virendersingh.berthwal is an ex-member. Anyone else?

Re: Cricket Secrets

In a way we want to be able to offer the same kind of help, but without so many intrusive ads. Sure, we need to make some money in order to be able to provide the site etc but there are better ways in doing it imo.

Re: Cricket Secrets

Simple answer is that we don't at the moment.

We try to keep running costs as low as possible but we are aware that as time goes on they may increase. When that time comes then we'll look at putting up some relevant ads which are useful to the members. Also, other opportunities may arise and if they do we'll look into them.

The main thing will be that whatever we choose it'll be as unobtrusive as possible, whilst still being effective.

Re: Cricket Secrets

Yeah Phil, I remember the website: Cricket secrets.
I was a regular 1 or 2 years back.
Ian Canaway is the admin guy and Ally C and Paddy as the Moderators.
I use to receive daily updates and the forum was also active. But a long time back the daily updates have stopped coming.
He was pushing more into promoting his book: Cricket secrets revealed and how u will make explosive batting and powerful tips and what not
But slowly the forum became a sort of non-cricketing stuff and a lot of unwanted stuff and attachment's were placed.
I even made an appeal to the Admin; but no response from him.

Luckily I had Harrowdrive.com and then David & Liz lead me to Simply Cricket which has been exciting and interesting in meeting different people of different age group and countries as well.

Phil; I just checked the site and the last post was on 20th of Feb'08.
I saw Ur post as well on Linseed Oil and TV Umpires.
I guess the site is not reliable any more.

Re: Cricket Secrets

I think you've got your answer there Phil, so I'm going to close this one as I can't see this going anywhere interesting.

Re: Cricket Secrets

I used to deal with Ian and I still sell his ebook. I have long since given up emailing him. I hope all is well.

In your opinion, is his book any good?
