The day's play to start at 4pm?! Has it really come to this? The only logic I can see is that they want people to come to the ground after work and still pay for tickets because if "lunch" is at 6pm, most 9-5 workers will be there for two sessions. Surely they will have to follow the ODI times and start the day's play at 2pm, so that the sessions will go: 2-4pm, 4:40-6:40, 7-9pm. Ideally, it would be even better if they timed the 40-minute "lunch"- or "dinner"- or whatever meal-break so that it is during the trickiest period at dusk when it's not too dark but not too light; of course, this will vary from ground to ground. If I had my way, I would keep the traditions, but I suppose we have to keep up with the world.
