DLF Cup Match 2: India v West Indies

Well, the West Indies won 4 straight against India earlier this year, but are probably still reeling from their debacle against Australia 2 days ago. Can they bounce back?

Re: DLF Cup Match 2: India v West Indies

India won the toss and will bat. I'll bet the Windies aren't rejoicing about that. I'm sure their batsment would like to give it a try under regular sunlight instead of the artificial lights they fell apart under.

India - R Dravid, SR Tendulkar, SK Raina, MS Dhoni, V Sehwag, M Kaif, IK Pathan, AB Agarkar, Harbhajan Singh, MM Patel, RP Singh

West Indies - CH Gayle, S Chanderpaul, RR Sarwan, BC Lara, DJ Bravo, WW Hinds, DR Smith, CS Baugh, IDR Bradshaw, JE Taylor, FH Edwards

West Indies are surprisingly going with the exact same team. India are heavy on the bowlers.

Tendulkar lucky not to be out. Ball was going straight to Gayle, but Baugh jumped in front and knocked it to the ground.

well, who really won, the Windies or the Weather?

West Indies 141 for 2 (Sarwan 37*, Lara 27*) beat India 309 for 5 (Tendulkar 141*, Pathan 64) by 29 runs (D/L method)

it was great watching the highlights of Tendulkar, its a shame they lost after a display like his.

Australia v India on the 16th next. Already a must win for India?

Just finished watching this match. The West Indies batsmen were on fire and it really felt like they were going to win this one. Of course, after the collapse against Australia in the 1st match, it certainly wasn't guaranteed.

Oh well. I think that's FIVE straight wins for the West Indies over India now.
