DLF Cup Match 5: India v West Indies

West Indies have already qualified for the final. The other spot is between India and Australia. India doesn't have to win today, but it sure would help.

India won the toss, and will bat. I kind of have the feeling that the West Indies have grown quite accustomed to batting under the lights at Kuala Lumpur, and probably won't mind being asked to do so yet again.

Re: DLF Cup Match 5: India v West Indies

Good news: the weather looks perfect, and there should be little trouble in getting in a full match today.

West Indies: CH Gayle, S Chanderpaul, RR Sarwan, BC Lara, DJ Bravo, WW Hinds, RS Morton, MN Samuels, DR Smith, CS Baugh, CD Collymore

India: R Dravid, SR Tendulkar, V Sehwag, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, SK Raina, AB Agarkar, Harbhajan Singh, MM Patel, RP Singh, S Sreesanth

Collymore is finally ready for the West Indies, and Morton will make an appearance too, as Bradshaw, Taylor, and Edwards get the day off. Sreesanth gets his first match of the tournament for India, and Irfan Pathan gets the day off.

Re: DLF Cup Match 5: India v West Indies

I was a little worried about the West Indies bowling attack today, but Dwayne Smith just got Dravid for a duck in the first over!

Re: DLF Cup Match 5: India v West Indies

And now Smith bowls Sehwag in his second over!
India 6-2 and in trouble.

Re: DLF Cup Match 5: India v West Indies

Yuvraj out for a duck.

Dwayne Smith has taken all 4 wickets,
India 38-4 after 10.3 overs.

Re: DLF Cup Match 5: India v West Indies

For crying out loud Tony, just marry Sachin already.

Re: DLF Cup Match 5: India v West Indies

Just when it looked like Dhoni might team up with Sachin to rescue India, he gets bowled by Collymore.
India 69-5

Re: DLF Cup Match 5: India v West Indies

India all out for 162 after 39.3 overs.

Smith was the star with his 4 wickets, but I thought Bravo was bowling some particularly impressive balls.

Re: DLF Cup Match 5: India v West Indies

well, with India winning it makes the Australia-India matcha all the more important; looking forward to watching it.
