I play for Lowerhouse Cricket Club.

I have played for the club for 13 years, and it is where I started competitively. To be honest if the club ceased to exist I wouldn't play anymore I'm so committed. LOL

I run the clubs site which is <w><a>http://www.lowerhousecc.com</a><w>

I currently am a left handed top order batter and point fielder, I bowl left arm chinaman, but no so often. 'Cos I'm pants!

We playin the Lancashire League, which is seen as a very high standard of cricket. Proffesionals such as Shane Warne, Allan Donald, Keith Gillespe have all played, and it was only last year Chris Cairns was a pro in the league...

Who do you play for?

I don't play for any club, I just play in my neighbourhood, and sometimes in my school.
S far as I can remeber, once, a 25-yr old, in my neighbourhood, who had a notorious record for his amazing bowling, threw his ball while I was playing batsman(I was 10), I managed to hit the ball, it hit the window on the sixth floor of the building, which fortunately for us all, was open. It hit the grill and came crashing down, hit a car, and dented the top.

Well thought I would just summarise me season. It has been a good one for me and my club.

The U15s won the league and got to the quarter finals of the cup.

The saturday team secured promotion, finishing in a distant second.

The evening team won the 2nd division and reached the semi-finals of the cup.

I scored 785 @ 22.21 with 3 50s (+ a 47 & a 48 <s><img><s> ). I also took 36 catches and 11 stumpings. I was the 3rd highest scorer for my club and won the Best Individual U18 Performance at the Evening League Presentation

My first game of the season is on Sunday. I play for the u14s, last season in the u14s I won the best bowling average prize, with an average of 7, and I had the second best average in our competition. My batting average was 9, I'm a hopeless batsman, well I'm a bit better nowdays, almost killed a few people at training when I was batting xD

Haha thanks. Had my first game a week ago and opened the bowling, took 4/13 off 5 and was on a hattrick. We got a team hattrick in the end so it was all good. We demolished them, they got 9/64 off 30 overs and we won by 9 wickets, I got 10*, as well. Tomorrow will no doubt be a harder game, playing against a team that has a very good name.

Haha, no 14 was <s><img><s> Last week, I got 0/15 off 4 or something, and then, got 17 runs, 3 fours, wooo! We won comfortably again. Today, we had really strong winds, I had to bowl into a gale force wind, i bowled about 1.4 overs all on the legside, being the shite batmen they were, they got hardly any runs off it, then, I bowled a full toss, going for a wide, the guy played at it, got his inside edge and knocked out middle stump, I ended up with 1/14 off 4, although I deserved about 0/25. I opened the batting, again, and in the third over, the other guy ran himself out, their keeper threw it with his gloves on, and got a direct hit <s><img><s> Then, our best batsman, our best player, who has quite a big potential, came in, hit 5, then got caught, at mid on, the ball got held up in the wind, and on what should have been a no-ball but the umpire didn't call it. So our best batsman gone, ore opener gone, and me yet to get off the mark, although I didn't have much of the strike. Our next batsman came in, the wind literally picked the ball up from middle stump and moved it around his legs, got bowled for a duck, off 4 balls. Next over, I got frustrated, I attempted to pull off middle stump, on a length that looked very pullable. The wind picked it up and it turned into a bouncer, and I got caught and bowled. 4/10. Ouch. Next two batsmen came in, one of them which is our opening bowler, made a 60 run partnership and we were right back in the game, the opening bowler made 41*, another got 27* and we comfortable won, reaching 160 or so off 30 overs, and they only managed 100. So, that's 3 out of 3 wins, looking great this season. To come from 4/10 to get 160 is awesome. The wind was so shocking, I hated it.

Anyway, on another note, I'm going for ECA (Eastern Cricket Association [our cricket comp]) u14 Rep Squad the next few Sundays, probably won't make it but I'm giving it a go.

Yeah I hate playing in wind too, so the fact that my cricket club is at high altidude annoys me a bit!
