Easy to say but whose saying that if Brett got caught early other's wouldnt have made runs with plenty of time left they pretty much bat down to 9! Easy to say but we've all been on the end of some big scores by the tail true?

The bottom order wouldn't have got runs. Outside the two recruits it's the same side that has struggled to get to 150 for the past 10 years.

Wizz, I'm sure you're a very busy fella, running a business, presiding over MPCC, and travelling the country attending weddings, so i thought i should bring the following from the DVCA website to your attention:

Notes for this week:
SENIORS:
Forfeits: E Grade (UB to ME); H Grade (MP to SM)

Thank you Bear...We had to give the 5ths a walk over this week due to having 14 guys going away for the long week end.

But all 4 sides we filled should win this week!

No I have not played cricket now for 3 years due to work. Hoping to play a few games after Christmas depending on work.

We have you guys round 10 this season so you never know.:D

Re: DVCA Money Shield

D. Sinclair, M.Cocks, J.Flynn hardly the same 7,8,9 as last years batting order?? Missed out on chasing down Yarrambat last year by 1 run and they made 320, we made 290 against Panton Hill, 230 odd against Thomastown, 260 against Hurstbridge hardly scores of 150??

I believe he played there some time ago and has come back this season, although i never remember playing him. He must be ok though 50 odd against the team dropping back down a division.

hi Mr Picker, i have a image of you being a little bloke, a tad overweight, that thought he could bat but deep down you were only tricking yourself. you would have to have bowled off spin, made your self captain as junior because your mum could pick the other players up for the game. i would'nt think your playing now as bending over might have become a problem, that's why you would sit down to pee.

i happen to know the two chaps that you bag in a childish manner, your crap really doesn't bother them, but if you are the bloke they think you are, it might make games in the future very interesting.

Yeah good comeback One Shot but I would hate to tell you that I'm a athlete in peak physical condition that would love to know who you play for. You are a serious chance of being the 4th player this season to be wearing a froat cutter right between the eyes. Judging by what you are saying we will meet in round 6 and you may need to hide behind those two blokes (which wouldn't be hard as they are both so big they have their own postcode).

fair enough, Just trying to work out if this West may help the college actually do something in a finals series if they even get there! Making 50 odd against Mont really isn't something to jump up and down about!

Right on there One Snot. The feeble top order of Franks will ensure an outright possibility to College in Round 6.

77 Brett Lewis St Francis of Assisi Money Shield 4 1 Panton Hill
76 Ronnie McKeown Yarrambat Money Shield 3 1 North Eltham Wanderers
76 Siva Kumar South Morang Money Shield 2 1 Whittlesea
74 Greg V Duggin St Francis of Assisi Money Shield 2 1 North Eltham Wanderers
74 Damian P Wegener St Francis of Assisi Money Shield 3 1 South Morang

Would have thought a 53 against Mont would rate higher or at least on par with the above scores this year so far being against feeble bowling attacks.

Whatever at the end of the day a really good knock would be to go on with it.... 50 odd is just a few runs after getting a start. Good innings in Money Shield will still be measured on the amount of runs made.

Agreed whole hartedly silly mid, absolutely no reason that any bat in any team making 40-70 shouldnt make a big ton.
