Richmond City would like to announce that they have 2 overseas - Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes. They are both opening bowlers.
Desmond Haynes played sub district cricket along with Malcolm Marshall many years ago. Desmond took more wickets than the great Malcolm Marshall!!!!! Haynes would still be good enough to get your wicket.

Anyway guys, this pom that Ashy have picked up seems an absolute gun. Did you see what he made in the one day final in the UK. they must have forked out some big bickies for him????

I feel for him - it is very hard to get continued games in with those covers and very wet square at Ashy, at least the fat arse with the Honda will buy him a beer or two though

Richmonmd City in big financial trouble. Heard they may be declared bankrupt prior to the start of the season. Top players looking around at other clubs for cricket in 2011-2012. If true, this will throw the ECA fixture into chaos!

You heard wrong mate. This is absolutely 100% not true. In fact Richmond City are in better financial shape than they have been for years and not a single required player from last year has left, is leaving or is looking to leave. Rest easy the draw is safe and please underestimate us when we play you.

Has anyone heard the rumour that AshWillows are in serious financial distress? I heard they may be declared bankrupt prior to the start of the season. Top players looking around at other clubs for cricket in 2011-2012. If true, this will throw the ECA fixture into chaos!

Ashburton have just announced another signing from Lancashire http://www.ashburtonwillows.com/WillowTalk.asp?ID=819

Looking at the ECA gradings, they look hot to trot to win Dunstan, C, and LOC 1.

They apparently had 50 blokes running around at pre-season training in August.

So Reg that means after a the recent merger with Willows they have just enough running around to field 5 sides. Sounds like they are going from strength to strength.
