Eca 2011/2012

Here is something to make the tipping comp a bit more interesting. Pick the winner of the T20 comp to receive 3 tips in the main comp. There is a limit of 3 picks for a particular club so if 3 blokes all pick Camberwell Magpies (not that I think they are favourites) for instance you will only get 1 tip in the main comp each if they win. First in gets the club of their choice. Think twice about picking a club somebody else has already picked as you will not get full value.

Ohhhh I love it. God knows I need some tipping points. Hmmm tough call though. Who are the best short form sides in the competition. My pick : Glen Iris : Lock it in. An no prospect, I don't play for them just think there batting is suited to the short form of the game.

Good early call Damien. You are locked in. I might wait until tonight's results.

Also this comp will close at the completion of the round robin. Which is next Tues. So you can pick up until just before the first knock out round.

Anything interesting from the T20s last night? My T20 pick was going to be Hawthorn, but after they lost to Boronia last night, they may still not make it passed the group stage!

Ca
Cant be too quick, they're sitting in bottom half of A Turf
Ok people, I am officially putting Adam Slack on notice this game. I have been a supporter of his on this forum, and you will all agree, there is no question on the ability and class this bloke has. But with 81 runs @16 in 11/12, the time is NOW for this bloke to stand up and punch out a big score this game. I am giving him a fortnight to deliver on the potential he has and punish the GI attack this Sat and then tee off on Melb Deaf in the next T20. If he fails on these two assignments, I will put my hand up and say I was wrong. But seeing this bloke first hand crucify our attack, u cannot keep a good player down so watch out GI & Melb Deaf. 2 weeks A Slack, deliver or I am off the wagon!!

Looks like there were a few upsets. Bulleen lost, Boronia beat Hawthorn.
WTF !!!!!!!! How is Bulleen losing an upset, they've hardly troubled the "points" table at the minute, and how would Boronia beating Hawthorn also be such an upset mate, they (Boronia) are a pretty good side and probably should have won on Saturday against them as well, went to the last two balls of the day ! Don't underestimate them !! Actually, keep underestimating them , it's been working well for many !!
Such biased opinions by the usual !!

The weather's shit, so let's just hope they get it wrong and it's hot and dry!

I think what we can say is that the comp is wide open this year and it could be another ED Haw GF - what a weird season that was. Just remember that Ashy, Bull and MA are all 2 day teams and the longer it stays wet, the worse for them. Every wicket, run and point is going to be vital so it will be interesting over the season to see who goes for 10 points and who is going to risk losing to get 10. My tips for this week are:

Deepdene v Ashy - cracking game
Boronia v St Kevs - big test for both sides to see who can stay in touch
Mulgrave v GI - just can't bring myself to tip GI in 50/50 games
MA v Marc - MA at home and look like they're back on track
Bulleen v ED - they have to win sooner or later
RC v Hawthorn - Bit of a test for Haw on the tricky KB surface?

My tips:
Deepdene v Ashy -
Boronia v St Kevs -
Mulgrave v GI -
MA v Marc -
Bulleen v ED -
RC v Hawthorn -

Whatever you're smoking XXXX... Save some for me!

I don't know why you are continually talking about Slack. Not sure if you caught the drift, but not only do not many people in this forum rate him at as a cricketer, but quite frankly, no one really cares how he goes on or off the field. If you want to continue having wet dreams over the bloke that's fine, but keep him off the forum cos no one gives a rats toss bag!
